The affordable Pixel 7s will wear the same style statement as its older siblings including the horizontal camera bar island at the back with a noticeable bump. The frame seems metallic with slightly curved edges.
The Google’s “G” branding is inscribed at the center of the back panel. The leaked retail box and render images confirm the dark grey color option. The color option would be called Cobalt. To recap, the Pixel 7a previous leak has revealed Artic Blue and bright Orange color variants. With this, we can assume the Pixel 7a will be available at least in at least three color options.

With so many options available in the market, buying a smartphone under 7k can be a challenging task
With some basic knowledge, you can make an informed decision
Display, storage, and durability are some of the features that one should look for before buying a phone
Buying a smartphone can be a daunting task, especially when you’re on a budget of under Rs. 7,000. With so many options available, choosing the right phone that meets your needs and preferences can be challenging. In this post, we provide expert tips to help you make an informed decision when buying the best smartphone under Rs. 7,000 in 2023.
A smartphone under Rs. 7,000 does not mean you have to compromise on design. Everyone wants a phone that looks great and feels amazing in hand. Therefore, when buying a new smartphone, look for a phone that looks great and feels great to hold.
A Great Display Is Essential
A smartphone is a Swiss army knife; it is your personal mp3 player, camera, work machine, and even a portable theatre. To consume content, you need a good display. Therefore, when buying a new smartphone under Rs. 7,000, it is important to get one with a big, immersive display. Additionally, the brightness of the display is a vital factor to consider since people consume a lot of content on the go. Look for a panel that is bright and visible under sunlight.
Storage Is Key
When buying a smartphone, the amount of storage is a crucial factor to consider. At a budget of around Rs. 7,000, most smartphone makers offer just 32GB storage at max. However, a smartphone is your primary computer, and you need ample storage to store all your personal data, music, movies, etc. Therefore, it is recommended that you go for a phone with at least 64GB of storage.
Battery Life And Durability Are Important
A smartphone that breaks easily or has a short battery life is of no use. Therefore, when buying a smartphone, check its durability and battery life. Look for a phone that has a minimum battery capacity of 4,000 to 5,000mAh.
Who doesn’t love getting more for less? When buying a smartphone, look for extra features that can enhance your user experience. Some manufacturers offer way more features, making the deal even sweeter. Look for features like fingerprint scanners for advanced security or handy software features that make your life easier.
Options Under Rs. 7,000
There are several options for smartphones under Rs. 7,000, including the Realme C11, Redmi 9A, Micromax In 1b, and Infinix Smart 7 HD. These phones offer basic features such as a decent camera, good battery life, and sufficient storage. They are suitable for individuals looking for a budget-friendly option.
Conclusion
When buying a brand-new smartphone under Rs. 7,000, consider the above factors: display, storage, durability, design, and extra features. However, currently, there is no smartphone that ticks all the right boxes in this budget range. Therefore, prioritize the factors that matter most to you and choose a smartphone that meets your needs and preferences.

Priced at Rs. 84,999 for the single 12GB RAM+ 256GB storage model
Vivo has officially announced its latest camera flagship for the Indian market called the X90 Pro. The high-end X series Vivo phone comes with an upgraded design, improved Zeiss co-engineered cameras, and a premium MediaTek Dimensity series chipset accompanied by a custom V2 chip.
This time, Vivo has priced the new X series phones starting at Rs. 59,999. However, The Vivo X90 Pro comes in a single RAM and storage option (12GB+ 256GB) costing Rs. 84,999 in India. Vivo has been betting high in the camera race with its X series phones. Has the new variant done justice in carrying forward the legacy?
Well, at Giznext, we have received the Vivo X90 Pro for review and got a chance to experience the unit firsthand. In this article, we are doing the first impressions of the Vivo X90 Pro and will be sharing our feedback whether it’s a hit or miss this time.
The Vivo X90 Pro wears the same premium leatherette finish at the back which we saw with the previous-gen Vivo X80 Pro. This combined with the curved display edges neatly merged with the metallic frame not just improves the appeal but also the grip. Speaking of the ports and key placement, they are also tactile for daily usage.
Both volume and power keys are positioned on the left spine, while the right frame is kept barren. The USB charging port gets the usual placement at the bottom alongside the hybrid SIM card tray and the speaker grille. The non-slippery and smudge-resistant design definitely clicks for the users who love flaunting their handsets without any case or cover wrapping on top.
Besides, the large circular camera module protruding prominently on the back gives this phone a real-life camera-like appearance which surely will grab some attention at first look. But if you still wish to use a case for additional protection you can use the soft TPU case that ships with the retail box. That said, the overall form factor of the Vivo X90 Pro is premium and despite being large it can be easily used as a daily driver.
Vivo X90 Pro Display First Impressions: Got The Colors Accurate?
The Vivo X90 Pro has been packed with a massive 6.78-inch screen. As mentioned above, the panel has a symmetrical curve which is one of the biggest USPs of the X90 Pro’s design. The AMOLED screen supports a 1260 x 2800 pixels resolution. Now, this upgraded screen resolution allows the unit to deliver crisp and clear content.
Additionally, the panel also has a 120Hz refresh rate and 1300 nits which allows for a smoother touch response and frame transition along with clear visibility outdoors under direct sunlight. Vivo hasn’t upgraded the refresh rate with the new-gen X90 series phone which we have been anticipating before its official launch. But the overall experience isn’t hampered and is rather smooth as expected.
The X90 Pro’s screen also has HDR10+ certification which further gives an immersive viewing experience with content streaming online. During our brief testing, the Vivo X90 Pro’s screen performed well with both video playback and gaming. The clarity levels are high and the frame transitions are lag-free with extensive graphics.
Also, the color production is good with the X90 Pro’s screen. We are yet to do a thorough screen testing of the latest X90 series high-end model and will share the user experience in the comprehensive review.
The Vivo X90 Pro 5G’s style statement isn’t solely the curved display and the leatherette back, but also the big circular camera array that jets out of the back frame. Vivo has collaborated with Zeiss this time too to design the high-end camera hardware of the X90 Pro 5G. The triple-lens stacked inside the circular array at the back on the X90 Pro comprises a 50MP Sony IMX989 main camera with a large 1-inch pixel sensor, an f/1.8 aperture, Dual Pixel PDAF, and OIS.
Aiding the primary lens is another large 50MP Sony IMX758 portrait lens which supports 2X optical zoom and a 12MP ultra-wide-angle sensor with a telephoto lens. Up front, a big 32MP camera is neatly accommodated inside the punch-hole cutout. To recap, the previous-gen model, i.e., the Vivo X80 Pro featured a quad-lens camera module.
While Vivo has chucked an additional sensor from the new-gen model, it still is betting high on the imaging quality offered by the new unit. The latest variant has several integrated camera modes designed to improve the image as well as video quality. Vivo also has done optimizations with the camera hardware on the latest X90 Pro 5G model to make up for the missing additional sensor. The custom V2 imaging sensor’s presence further boosts the camera performance.
We tested the camera performance briefly and the X90 Pro seems to live up to the expectations as its predecessors. The output comes refined even with the default settings when you have ample lighting in the background. No evident blurs or grains are visible. High-resolution, Zeiss Landscape$ archit., AI Group portrait, Dual View, and Ultra HD document are some of the advanced cameras features that are offered by the X90 Pro.
This time Vivo has also added dedicated night and Astrophotography modes including Astro and Supermoon modes. Our experience with night photography has also been satisfactory during the initial testing phase. But we will put the X90 Pro’s cameras through extreme testing during both day and night and will share detailed feedback in the comprehensive review.
The selfie lens also delivers optimum performance. The clicks are good for social media uploads. Also, if you are frequent with online video conferencing then the large 32MP sensor will help you with clear audio/video experience with video calling.
Vivo X90 Pro First Impressions: Performance Delivery, Battery Backup
Performance delivery on the latest Vivo X90 Pro model is handled by the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 octa-core mobile chipset. Vivo might have switched to a MediaTek Dimensity series processor instead of a Qualcomm Snapdragon flagship processor like the previous-gen model but the compromises with the performance is deliver is least. Atleast, that’s what we experienced with the initial usage.
Our review unit packs 12GB RAM which combined with the virtual RAM feature sources an additional 8GB RAM for flawless multitasking and overall usage. The storage capacity available with our review unit is 256GB. Since there is a hybrid SIM slot, you can either use two SIM cards or one SIM card and one microSD card simultaneously.
Therefore, it would be better to select the high-storage variant if you use your phone for data storage. The gameplay experience has been fair all this while. We were able to play a bunch of graphic-hungry games at the highest settings with almost no visible lags or frame drops. No evident heating issue is to be highlighted as of now.
Moving on to the battery capacity and fast charging speeds, the X90 Pro is integrated with a 4,870 mAh battery unit. The latest flagship Vivo handset gets 120W fast wired and 50W wireless charging support. This is the fastest charging speed that is offered by the Vivo X series handset. The charging time is below 30 minutes which is handy for quick refuels. We still have to test the device to its full potential to give a final verdict on its reliability with extreme apps and tasks.
The Vivo X90 Pro 5G is launched as one of the most advanced camera phones in India. The spec sheet is overall a complete package and the handset definitely gets some extra pointers in the looks department. The Vivo X90 Pro in our opinion packs ample punch to be a power performer with normal as well as extensive usage. And if you are a photography enthusiast, then you are in for a treat with the Zeiss co-engineered premium camera hardware.
Both Vivo X90 and X90 Pro will be powered by Dimensity 9200 SoC
120W fast charging support
Vivo X90 series debuted internationally earlier this year. Now, Vivo is set to expand this premium X smartphone lineup in India too with the X90 and the X90 Pro soon. Currently, the official teaser have also kept the pricing details under the wraps. However, we speculate the initial launch price could start within Rs. 60,000 to Rs. 70,000 price range. This is just an anticipated price range and Vivo could launch the X90 and the X90 Pro with a different price label. As for the spec-sheet, that will remain identical to the international variants. No differences in the spec-sheet or the design is expected. That said, below are the quick specifications of the X90 and the X90 Pro.

Vivo is targeting budget-conscious people in the country with its T Series smartphones. In 2022, Vivo introduced the T1 Series which received a positive response. Now, after a year, the brand has introduced the T2 Series, and we will be reviewing the T2 5G model today. Despite using the same chipset as its predecessor, the Vivo T2 5G features significant design changes and several upgraded specifications. So, we will be reviewing whether the Vivo T2 5G is a valuable upgrade over the T1 Series or not. Let’s find out in this review. Also Read | Vivo T1X Review: Good Design, Decent Cameras

Design
Vivo has a reputation for creating smartphones that immediately capture the attention of potential buyers. This holds true for the Vivo T2 5G which has an eye-catching appearance. It is available in two color options: Nitro Blaze and Velocity Wave. We received the Nitro Blaze variant, which has a glossy finish and a matte texture that looks premium. Diagonal lines run across the back panel, providing a lovely touch.
The Vivo T2 5G has a polycarbonate body that makes it lightweight, and the sides are made of plastic, which is reasonable given the phone’s price range. The flat frame design and curved corners offer a comfortable in-hand experience. The rear panel features a gradient finish with shades of sunset colors, which is visible when light hits it at certain angles. However, some users may find it too flashy.
A rectangular camera module with two huge camera cutouts is located on the back. The primary lens is in one cut-out, and the secondary lens, LED flash, is in the other. There is Vivo branding at the bottom. At the top is a waterdrop notch design for the selfie camera, which looks outdated and could have been avoided. There is an in-display fingerprint scanner and face recognition support.
At the bottom of the phone, you’ll find a 3.5mm headphone jack that works perfectly. The buttons on the right side have a satisfying tactile feel, and on the top, there is a hybrid SIM slot that can accommodate dual SIM cards or a single SIM with a microSD card. Unfortunately, the single speaker at the bottom is disappointing as it sounds tinny and distorts at high volumes. On the plus side, there’s a USB Type-C port at the bottom.
Display
The Vivo T2 5G features a 6.38-inch AMOLED full-HD+ display with a resolution of 2408 x 1080 pixels, providing good quality visuals that are sharp and rich. While the viewing angles are acceptable, the 90Hz refresh rate may feel less smooth compared to a 120Hz panel.
The display’s responsiveness is aided by its 360Hz touch sampling rate, and the 1300 nits peak brightness ensures that the screen remains clearly visible even under direct sunlight. Although the display is decent overall, it falls short of being the best that Vivo has used.
Performance
The Vivo T2 5G smartphone operates smoothly and quickly thanks to its Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 chipset. It boasts up to 8GB of RAM which allows for the quick loading of apps and seamless background operation of multiple apps. The review unit we got had 6GB RAM and it seemed to have worked fine. The device also has 128GB of onboard storage for ample storage space. With the chipset and RAM working together, the device experiences no crashes or lags.
For casual gamers, the Vivo T2 5G is suitable and can even handle heavy games on medium graphic settings. The device may heat up during long gaming sessions, but there are no issues with the animation or loading of the gaming session. The device’s overall performance also seemed to be on par with my expectations. It was smooth in daily usage.
The device runs FunTouch OS 13, which is based on Android 13 OS. It has a simple, colorful appearance and is convenient for users. However, the only issue is tons of bloatware that comes with the device. Applications like Snapchat, PhonePe, Moj, Amazon, Spotify, Share Chat, Linked In, and more come pre-installed. These applications need to be removed based on the user’s preference.
An optical fingerprint sensor is provided for biometric purposes, and it functions as it should. It is accurate but a bit slow, though. Connectivity options include 5G, WiFi, Bluetooth, and more. The calling experience is good, and the single speaker works moderately well.
Camera
A 64MP primary camera with OIS capability and a 2MP depth sensor make up the dual camera configuration on the rear of the Vivo T2 5G. On the front, there is a 16MP lens for selfies and video calls.
Under bright daylight, the 64MP primary camera captures detailed and sharp shots with good dynamic range and natural colors. However, photos taken under artificial light have noise, and the details are not prominent. Low-light shots also produce the same results with a hit on dynamic range despite the fine colors.
The device performs well for portraits, with good colors, details, and overall tone. However, the 2MP depth sensor, which is expected to provide an accurate bokeh effect, sometimes fails to detect edges properly, which takes away from the fun of the portrait photo.
The front-facing 16MP sensor captures impressive selfies with high detail and close-to-accurate skin tones. However, night shots are below average with no significant details, and turning on the night mode doesn’t improve the situation.
Battery
The Vivo T2 5G packs a 4500mAh battery under the hood. During my review period of the Vivo T2 5G, the device easily lasted me a day and sometimes more if I wasn’t doing any resource-heavy tasks for extended periods.
The smartphone comes with a 44W fast charging adapter inside the box. It took about 27 minutes to charge from 0 to 50 percent and about an hour to get to 100 percent, which is decent considering the under 20k price point of the device.
Final Verdict
The Vivo T2 5G is priced fairly at under 20k and serves as the successor to the Vivo T1. However, it doesn’t upgrade the chipset and maintains the same one. Despite this, it has several features that make it appealing, such as an AMOLED display, 64MP camera, 44W fast charging, and Android 13 OS, which make for a good combination of specs in this segment.
Although there are some drawbacks, such as an abundance of bloatware, a 2MP lens that is of no use, and an underwhelming speaker, these can be overlooked if you are looking for a budget device for everyday use.

Leaked renders show new design and colours for Google Pixel 7a.
Three colour variants are expected: light blue, white, and greyish.
The design closely resembles Google Pixel 7 with thicker bezels.
The Google Pixel 7a is expected to be announced at this year’s Google I/O developer conference, which is set to take place later this year. However, as is often the case with Google Pixel phones, numerous leaks and rumours have already surfaced, giving us a good idea of what to expect from the upcoming device.
The leaked images of the Google Pixel 7a suggest that the upcoming device will have a new design that is different from its predecessor, the Pixel 6. The phone will have a punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera.
The leaked renders also show that the Google Pixel 7a will have a design that closely resembles the Pixel 7, with slightly thicker bezels on the front. The device will have a punch-hole cutout for the front-facing camera and a triple-camera setup on the back.
The camera module is positioned in the top-left corner and is larger than the one on the Pixel 6. The back of the phone appears to have a matte finish, which is a departure from the glossy finish of the Pixel 6.
According to the leaked renders, the Google Pixel 7a will be available in light blue, white, and black or greyish colours. The light blue variant is a new addition that replaces the Sage colour from last year. Meanwhile, the black variant is expected to sport a slightly lighter shade than its predecessors, adding a touch of sophistication to the device’s aesthetic.
The leaked images show that the variant has a matte finish on the back and is a refreshing addition to the Pixel lineup and is likely to be popular among users.
The expected price of the Google Pixel 7a has not been officially announced by Google yet. However, based on the previous pricing strategy of the company, the Pixel 7a is expected to be priced similarly to its predecessor, the Pixel 6a.
The Pixel 6a was priced at INR 36,999 ($449) when it was launched last year. Therefore, the Google Pixel 7a is likely to be priced between INR 32,999 ($400) and INR 40,999 ($500), depending on the storage variant.
