Asus has made an announcement that the upcoming ROG Phone 6 series will make use of Qualcomm’s new premium mobile processor, i.e, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Asus revealed this information via its official social media handles including Instagram. The teaser post has been shared via Asus global Instagram handle.

The markets that will first receive the ROG 6 series gaming phones are not revealed just yet. However, the brand might drop some more clues in the coming days soon. The Asus ROG 6 will possibly be the first gaming smartphone lineup in the global markets to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processor.

Asus has only revealed the upcoming ROG 6 series chipset details as of now. The exact launch timeline for the successor to the ROG 5 gaming smartphone lineup is still under the wraps. But now the same has been confirmed by iQOO itself.

The iQOO Neo 6 5G has will be debut on May 31 in India. iQOO has announced the upcoming Neo series India launch via its official Twitter handle this time. It is worth mentioning that the same date was accidentally leaked via e-commerce website Amazon recently. The listing not only spilled the upcoming launch date for the iQOO Neo 6 in India but also availability. The device will be sold via Amazon itself in the country.

 The online retailer has also created a dedicated microsite on its portal. Additionally, the iQOO Neo 6 specifications have also been teased via the official launch poster. The teaser confirms slight variations in terms of hardware that the Neo 6 5G’s Indian variant will feature compared to the Chinese variant. Below are the details:

The iQOO Neo 6’s official teaser poster confirms the octa-core Snapdragon 870 chipset. This is one prime difference between the Indian model and the Chinese counterpart. It is speculated the device will be available with up to 12GB RAM to handle all the multitasking. The storage capacity could be up to 256GB or 512GB. The device will ship with Android 12 OS in India.

We expect the Neo 6 remaining hardware to be identical to the Chinese model. Speaking of which, the iQOO Neo 6 5G might also sport an AMOLED panel that’ll measure 6.62-inches. It will support 1080 p FHD+ screen resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The Neo 6 5G’s display will sport a punch-hole camera cutout for the selfie snapper and also integrate a fingerprint scanner for security.

The teaser also confirms 80W fast charging support. The battery capacity us not mentioned. But it could feature a 4,700 mAh unit as the Chinese model.

The Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 comes with a speed of up to 3.2 GHz and Qualcomm Adreno GPU. Besides, the company said that the chipset has a Snapdragon X65 5G modem, which offers a peak download speed of up to 10 Gbps.

Besides, the chipset has Qualcomm FastConnect 6900 for WiFi and Bluetooth. It can also provide speed up to 3.6 Gbps and supports 2.4 GHz, 5 GHz, and 6 GHz WiFi bands. The chipset also comes with an NFC, USB 3.1, and USB-C support.

OPPO Reno8 series is breaking covers next week in China. All three upcoming Reno series phones have been making consistent splashes via leaks and rumors. OPPO Reno8 Pro+ Full Specifications Also Revealed Via TENAA

Following the standard Reno8, another OPPO handset with the PFZM10 model number has been listed at TENAA. This is rumored to be the high-end OPPO Reno8 Pro+ model. Going by the TENAA listing, the OPPO PFZM10 or the Reno8 Pro+ will be packed with the Dimensity 8100 Max processor. To recap, the OnePlus 10R arrived as the first flagship-grade Android phone powered by the Dimensity 8100 processor.

Since the Reno8 Pro+ is launching with the same chipset as the OnePlus 10R, we can expect both these Android phones to compete in the premium mid-tier segment. The configurations listed for the OPPO Reno 8 Pro+ are 8GB/12GB RAM and up to 256GB storage configuration. Besides, both networks will increase economic progress. “Connectivity will determine the pace of progress in 21st century India. Therefore, connectivity has to be modernized at every level,” PM said while inaugurating the 5G testbed during the event.

It is worth noting that the testbed is an important step in the telecom sector. “The country’s own 5G standard has been made in the form of 5Gi. It is a matter of great pride for the country. It will play a big role in bringing 5G technology to the villages of the country.”

For the unaware, the 6G internet services are expected to be launched by the end of this decade and several reports claim that the speed is expected to be 1000 times higher than the existing services. In addition, the speed is likely to be 100 times better than the 5G services.
