Just for reference, this variant was previously retailing at Rs. 14,990 which was following a price hike a few months back.

The latest discount is being offered to the Oppo A54’s 4GB RAM+ 128GB storage model and 6GB RAM+ 128GB storage variant. The former will be available for purchase at Rs. 14,990 instead of Rs. 15,990 previous selling price. Likewise, for the latter, you need to shell out Rs. 15,990 instead of the last retailing price of Rs. 16,990. But does this price cut makes the Oppo A54 worth a buy in this competitive budget market in India? Here’s what we think:

Oppo A54: A Good Buy Following New Price Cut?

For an asking price of Rs. 13,990, you get an Helio P35 processor-powered smartphone available with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage option. Note, the chipset used is an entry-level octa-core SoC by MediaTek and there are other handsets in the same price range using a more powerful SoC compared to the Oppo A54.

The display offered by the Oppo A54 is also standard (LCD with 720P HD+ resolution). Again, there are devices with a better panel (at least higher screen resolution or refresh rate). The camera specifications are decent and you get a 13MP main lens along with a 2MP macro and a 2MP depth sensor. The battery is only the most powerful aspect you get on this budget handset. It is a big 5,000 mAh unit that supports 18W fast charging.

After launching GT 2 smartphone series in China, Realme is now planning to bring a new limited edition variant, which is Realme GT Neo 2 Dragon Ball Edition. In fact, Realme CMO Francis Wong has also shared the same information via his Twitter account.

Motorola is all set to bring a new smartphone on January 10th, 2022. The Moto G71 5G is already available in the global markets and now, it will be available in India. However, ahead of the launch, the price of the Moto G71 smartphone is surfacing online.

Notably, tipster Abhishek Yadav has shared a screenshot of the price of the Moto G71 5G smartphone and claims that the device will cost you Rs. 18,999 in the country. Besides, the company has started revealing the features and the specifications of the upcoming smartphone.

The smartphone company revealed that the Moto G71 5G support 13 5G band, which makes it the most number of 5G bands in the same price segment. Additionally, the company confirmed that the device will feature an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor.

Moto G71 Smartphone: Specifications

The smartphone features a 6.4-inch full-HD+ OLED display along with a resolution of 1,080×2,400 pixels. However, the display does not have a high refresh rate and it has a standard refresh rate of 60Hz.

The smartphone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 processor, which is coupled with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of in-house storage that can be increased via a microSD card. Notably, it will be the first smartphone, which will be available with Snapdragon 695 SoC.

The Moto G71 5G will have a 5,000 mAh battery along with 33W fast charging support. Also, it will have ThinkShield for mobile, water resistance, stock Android experience, and IP52 rating.

Furthermore, Motorola revealed that the smartphone will run Android 12 OS and will be getting updates for the next two years. The device will be available in two colour options; such as Arctic White and Neptune Green.

On the optics front, it has a triple camera setup at the back. It includes a 50MP primary sensor an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens and a 2MP macro lens. Upfront, it will have a 16MP camera for selfies.

Following the Moto G31 and the Moto G51 5G, Motorola is ready to bring the third model in this mid-tier series called the Moto G71 5G. The brand will be left with the Moto G41 and the Moto G200 post this. The handset is now officially confirmed by the company to be heading to the Indian stores. The handset is likely to be available on the same date (January 10) at the e-commerce portal for sale. We can also expect Motorola to sell this device via offline retail stores in the country. The details should be announced during the official launch on January 11, 2022.

It is worth adding that Flipkart has also taken the Moto G71 5G’s dedicated microsite live. The product page is updated with all the key specs which the upcoming mid-range Motorola 5G smartphone will offer. And since the device is already announced internationally, all the features are known.

While the official teaser poster and Flipkart listing confirm the launch date and features, the pricing isn’t officially announced. However, a Twitter user has suggested a starting price tag of Rs. 18,999. Unfortunately, it is unknown currently which variant the tipster is hinting at.

Realme GT 2 Pro BIS Certification Hints Imminent India Launch

Realme recently took the wraps off its first Snapdragon 8 Gen 1-backed flagship Android smartphone series called the GT 2. The vanilla Realme GT 2 Pro was accompanied by the GT 2 Pro in China during the official launch event. The latter is apparently coming to the Indian market sometime soon. Following is what all the rumor mill suggests:

Realme GT 2 Pro Coming To India Soon?

The Realme GT 2 Pro has just cleared its certification via BIS (Bureau Of Indian Standards). The listing has been spotted by 91Mobiles. The certification website has only listed the GT 2 Pro’s model number, i.e, RMX3301. Apart from this, no other detail has been shared. Also, it is not still clear if both Realme GT 2 Pro and the Realme GT will be announced simultaneously in the country or the former will arrive first in the country.

Nevertheless, the exact Realme GT 2 Pro’s launch timeline would be hard to anticipate just yet. But looking at the developments, specifically with the BIS certification, it can be expected in the coming few months.

The Realme GT 2 Pro is a high-end phone which is packed with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. The handset has been announced in Chine with up to 12GB LPDDR5 RAM and up to 512GB LPDDR5 RAM. We can expect the same RAM and storage configurations in the country as well. The software would also be the same as the global model, i.e, Android 12 OS topped with Realme UI 3.0 interface.

iQOO 9 series has finally made it officially to the shelves. The new-generation gaming smartphone series has been launched in China powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. As expected, two new models have been launched this game-centric Android smartphone series called the iQOO 9 and the iQOO 9 Pro. Besides the latest-gen Qualcomm flagship processor, the iQOO 9 series is packed with some top-notch hardware such as OLED displays and 50MP triple-rear camera.

iQOO 9, iQOO 9 Pro Full Hardware, Software Details

Both iQOO 9 series devices are packed with the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor. Both handsets have been announced with up to 12GB DDR5 RAM and 512GB UFS 3.1 storage configuration. The software used by both devices is Android 12-OS wrapped around the OriginOS interface.

Now coming to the displays. The standard iQOO 9 is packed with a 6.78-inch Samsung E5 OLED display. The panel supports 1080 x 2400 pixels FHD+ screen resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The imaging setup used by the vanilla iQOO 9 at the back includes a 50MP main camera.

It is a Samsung GN5 sensor that supports OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) and is aided by a 13MP wide-angle sensor that has 120-degree FoV, and a 12MP depth lens. The vanilla iQOO 9 features a 16MP selfie camera.

The iQOO 9 Pro also packs a 6.78-inch display. It is a Samsung E5 10-bit LTPO display with curved edges. The panel supports a higher QHD+ resolution of 1440 x 3200 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The imaging setup is slightly different compared to the vanilla iQOO 9.

The Pro variant accommodates dual 50MP sensors (main camera and ultrawide angle lens) and a 16MP depth camera. The selfie camera is the same as the vanilla model (16MP). Both models are driven by a 4,700 mAh battery combined with 120W fast charging.

Both iQOO 9 and the iQOO 9 Pro have currently made it to the Chinese market. The global launch is pending. Both these models are also confirmed to mark their arrival in the Indian market, but the details are at large. Speaking of the prices, the vanilla iQOO 9 with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage is launched at RMB 3,999 which is approximately Rs. 47,000 in Indian currency. The 12GB RAM and 256GB storage model will be sold at RMB 4,799 which is around Rs. 56,000.

Likewise, the iQOO 9 Pro’s 8GB RAM model has been announced at RMB 4,999 which translates to approximately Rs. 58,600. There are two 12GB RAM models. One is paired with 256GB storage and is priced at RMB 5,499 (around Rs. 64,000), while the other is clubbed with 512GB storage priced at RMB 5,999 (around Rs. 70,000).

However, there is a catch. This offer is not available for all users as the company announced that all users that switch their service from other telecom operators. Additionally, the services are valid until January 15. This clearly means that users who are opting for BSNL services from telecom service providers before January 15 will get the same offer.

It is worth noting that the company has shared this information via its official Twitter account. The tweet reads: “It is compulsory to share/retweet all related BSNL’s posts related to this campaign on your timeline with #SwitchToBSNL.”

To get the offer or to switch your number to the BSNL services, users have to send a direct message on Twitter or the 9457086024 mobile number to get the services.

BSNL Offering Free 4G SIM

BSNL has come up with a new offer to increase its user base in the country. The telecom operator has extended its free 4G SIM offer until March 2022 reports Kerala Telecom. The report said that new and MNP customers have to pay only recharge amounts.

It is worth noting that the telecom operator offers a wide range of vouchers that start from Rs. 106 onwards. Additionally, BSNL has increased the validity of Rs. 2,399 plan and now this plan is valid up to Rs. 2,399.

The Rs. 2,399 plan offers unlimited local, STD calls, and 3GB of data per day. It includes BSNL Tunes, EROS Now, 12,000 movies, premium originals, short-form content, and videos. Additionally, the company is providing Eros Now content with all postpaid plans.

Apart from Rs. 2,399 plan, BSNL offers Rs. 1,999 plan, where users get unlimited calling, 500GB of high-speed data, and 100 messages per day for 365 days. Then, there is a pack of Rs. 1,498 prepaid plan, where the user gets 2GB of data per day, 100 messages every day, and unlimited calling for 365 days.

Reliance Jio And NPCI Collaboration: Users Can Auto-Pay Prepaid Recharges, Postpaid Bills Through UPI

In order to help its customers, Reliance Jio has joined hands with the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI). Under this partnership, the telecom operator has launched autopay facilities for all prepaid and postpaid users, which makes it the first player to offer a unique e-mandate feature.

Kiran Thomas, Director – Jio, said, “The combination of Jio’s superior prepaid and postpaid plans and UPI autopay will now be available to every Jio user. Jio users will no longer need to remember their recharge renewal date or bill payment date and perform manual payments. This will enable an ALWAYS-ON service experience for every Jio prepaid user.”

This newly launched feature will allow users to set the instructions on the company’s application (My Jio) for hassle-free recharging so that users can recharge their number with favourite tariff plans.

“Jio’s integration with UPI AUTOPAY has made it the first player in the telecom industry to go live with the unique e-mandate feature that was launched by NPCI,” said an official statement.

The telco also said that users are no longer to remember their date of recharge of the validity ends. In addition, the telco said that users don’t have to enter a UPI PIN for recharge up to Rs. 5,000.

“With UPI AUTOPAY, it’s our constant endeavor at NPCI to provide an extra layer of comfort and convenience to all the customers for their recurring spends and payments. We believe that this integration will drive a favorable customer sentiment about seamless and automated recurring payments,”Kunal Kalawatia, Chief of Products, NPCI said.

Key Highlights Of The Reliance Jio And NPCI Partnership

Reliance Jio users are no longer need to remember their date of recharge once the validity ends.
The Reliance Jio plan will be renewed on the same or the set date. If a user is recharging up to Rs. 5,000, then they do not have to enter the UPI PIN.
All users are allowed to create and modify all the e-mandate for the packs
as per their requirements via UPI AUTOPAY.

CES 2022: Asus Expands ZenBook Laptop Series With ZenBook 14 OLED, ZenBook 17 Fold

The last few years in the CES (Consumer Electronics Show) have been majorly dominated by smartphones amongst other gadgets. While we are coming across new 5G devices and concept phones by the smartphone OEMs, laptops and tablets seem to be everyone’s new focus. Take for instance Asus, the Taiwanese tech giant yesterday introduced its flagship gaming tablet called the ROG Flow Z13. The brand is also showcasing its premium range of laptops. Following the ROG Zephyrus G14 gaming laptop, the company has introduced two other models in the ZenBook series named ZenBook 14 OLED and ZenBook 17 Fold.

Asus ZenBook 14 OLED, ZenBook 17 Fold Design, Key Features

The Asus ZenBook 14 OLED has been announced with a 14-inch OLED display. If we speak of the display specifications, this OLED panel supports a 16:10 aspect ratio and 1800 x 2880 pixels screen resolution. The panel refresh rate is 90Hz and the peak brightness level is 550 nits. The ZenBook 14 OLED is driven by the 12th Gen Core H series processor. There is also an AMD Ryzen variant. The Intel Core H series model is equipped with a Thunderbolt 4.0 port which is missing from the AMD Ryzen variant.

On the contrary, the ZenBook 17 Fold as the name suggests offers a bigger screen size and foldable design unlike the ZenBook 14. Asus has used a 17.3-inch display here which is an OLED panel. Notably, this is the screen size when the laptop is in an unfolded state.

Furthermore, the unfolded display (17.3-inch). To use the secondary display you’ll need to partially fold the laptop. This display type is also OLED but the screen size is reduced to 12.5-inches. The larger display comes with a QHD+ screen resolution of 1920 x 2560 pixels Whereas, the partially folded panel which is also OLED supports an FHD+ screen resolution. The refresh rate offered by the ZenBook 17 Fold’s display is the same as the ZenBook 14 OLED, i.e, 90Hz.

It is worth mentioning that Asus has only revealed a new-generation Intel processor and has not specified the exact version. But 16GB RAM and up to 1TB NVMe M.2 SSD storage along with 75W battery is confirmed.
