(Last Updated On: November 30, 2021)

The shipments of true wireless earphones have seen a massive surge in recent times. This market has managed to garner 55 percent yearly growth in the Q3 of 2021 as per the Counterpoint report. Besides, the report states that the new entrants, sales events, and feature-rich affordable TWS products were the primary success factors for the TWS growth in India in Q3.

Meanwhile, Giznext has managed to do exclusive interaction with Truke, founder and CEO, Pankaj Upadhyay, about the upcoming launches and future strategies.

Truke Upcoming Products In India

Truke, which is a popular brand for TWS and other audio products has huge plans in-store for the Indian audience this December. The brand is all set to foray into the smart wearables category with new smartwatches in the country. “We are going to launch three smartwatches in the third or the fourth week of December,” Upadhyay said.

He exclusively informed Giznext that the upcoming smartwatches will be priced between Rs. 1,999 to Rs. 3,499. In addition, the company is planning to expand its TWS segment as it will bring four new products in the same category in December.

Apart from bringing, smartwatch and TWS, the company is planning to bring smart bands and IoT products in 2022. However, when asked about launching smart televisions and smartphones, he asserted that they have no plans to get into these segments and will be focussing on the TWS, smartwatch, and IoT products in 2022.

Truke Marketing Share

It is worth noting that market research firm Counterpoint has recently mentioned that Truke is one of the fast-growing brands in the country as its shipments are increasing year-on-year basis. In fact, it has also launched its first gaming series TWS earbuds in Q3 2021.

“In the TWS segment, our target is to achieve 10 percent market share by the end of this year and we are eyeing 13 to 15 percent share in the wearable category in the first half of the next year,” Pankaj replied when asked about market share the company wants to achieve. Meanwhile, he informed that they have to shift their manufacturing plans till Q1 2022 as they are waiting for clearance from the shipments department.

Truke Plans To Go Offline

It is important to note that the company is selling its products via e-commerce platforms Amazon and Flipkart. However, Truke is now in discussions with distributors and big retailers. It is expected that from the second week of December, they might sell their products via brick and mortar stores in India.
