A new leaked post on the Chinese microblogging website Weibo suggests the upcoming Redmi-labelled Android tablet has cleared its certification via CMIIT (China Ministry of Industry and Information Technology). The model number for the mystery Xiaomi tablet is 22081281AC whose shortened build number is L81AC. Now for reference, four unidentified Xiaomi tablets were leaked recently out of which the L81AC was one of the models.

The L81, L82, and the L83 were the remaining variants that were tipped to be under development via past leaks. It is worth adding that the L81AC model number is tipped for the upcoming Redmi tablet model, while the remaining variants are said to belong to the new-generation Xiaomi Pad 6 series tablets.

Unfortunately, the CMIIT certification listing doesn’t reveal the exact hardware details of the alleged Redmi Pad tablet. It only confirms an upcoming launch, but not the exact timeline. There are several other reports that the next Redmi Pad tablet along with the Xiaomi Pad 6 series tablets will be getting certified via 3C and TENAA in China in the coming months.

The Xiaomi Pad 6 series is expected to be a premium mid-range tablet series that might be packed with the Snapdragon 870 chipset.
