Kawasaki has set its foot into the two wheeler electric segment with the launch of new Ninja electric motorcycles. The Japanese auto giant has itroduced the Ninja e-1 and the Z e-1 electric motorcycles fully loaded with features and an impressive powertrain. Read the details below:

Starting with the Kawasaki Ninja e-1 electric motorcycle variant, it is powered by a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) which has a maximum output of 9kW. The electric motor inside the Ninja e-1 electric motorcycle is capable of producing 6kW continuous output. The peak torque generated by the e-1 electric motorcycles’s PMSM motor is 29Nm.

Speaking of the Ninja Z e-1 electric motorcycle model, it is launched with the same PMSM electric motorcycle which delivers a maximum output of 9kW and a continuous power of 6kW. The torque generated is is also identical, i.e., 29Nm.

Both new Kawasaki e-1 and Z e-1 electric motorcycles will use dual Li-ion battery pack which are swappable. The range offered by both variants is 44 miles (approx 70 km) per charge. The charging time claimed is 3.7 hours and 1.6 hours for full charge and 0 to 80 percent respectively.

As for the top speed, both Kawasaki e-1 and the Z e-1 variants can reach up to 62 mph (100kmph approx) with full throttle. However, the top speed will drop to 54mph (approx) post 15 seconds. The top speed of the 64mph is attained with the E-boost feature which the brand has added so that it becomes easier to swift through congested urban traffic.

The Kawasaki Ninja e-1 and Z e-1 electric motrocycle models feature a 4.3-inch TFT instrument cluster. It will offer important ride details and will include various layouts that once can select as per preference. One of the unique riding modes offered by the latest Kawasaki Ninja e-1 and Z e-1 is the walk mode which will make parking easy with forward and backward moving speed of 3mph and 2mph respectively. Both electric motorcycles will also offer Road and eco driving modes.

Kawasaki Ninja e-1 and Z e-1 Price And Availability

The Kawasaki Ninja e-1 and the Z e-1 electric motorcycle prices are not revealed currently. The availabilty is tipped by 2024 in the United Kingdom and European markets.
