Want to buy a Nokia phone for the memories and such? Don’t worry, these new phones even have good specs so that you are not stuck with a glitchy brick for the future. Here’s a look at the all-new smartphone(s) and their speculated features.

Nokia phones have been in the backseat for a long time, without any standout flagship contender for many years. The acquisition by HMD global, a Finnish company, has led the company to make cheap budget-friendly phones with an utmost focus on usability and software features.

Nowadays any major smartphone company has a strong contender for the flagship spot of the year, some brands even have two flagship models(like Samsung with the Note Series or the S series) but Nokia on the other hand, doesn’t even bother making flagships.

Their last proper flagship would be the Nokia 9 Pureview, which had a Penta camera setup on the back. People were very excited when they first saw the teaser for a launch event that is scheduled for the 8th of April.

What We Know So Far

The launch event won’t be a first for Nokia because it had many such events when they were still partnered with Microsoft for the Lumia range of phones. That said this will be their proper launch event after the HMD brand has taken over operations.

It’ll be interesting to see the format of the event and the number of products that they unveil. In the end, we still don’t know if the new products will include a flagship device.

The teaser contains a man in a seemingly dense forest looking at the sun shining down on him and the event invite uses a hashtag, #LoveTrustKeep. The teaser might seem vague but a keen eye could spot out the clues, let your imagination run wild!

Rumour Mill: What’s In The Air?

The popular opinion dictates that Nokia should release the much-awaited successor to their Nokia 9 & Nokia 8.3 series albeit with a different naming scheme. Nokia G10 could be the new flagship smartphone that Nokia fans are waiting for.

The specifications have not been confirmed but if the phone will be a flagship then it should have the Snapdragon 888 processor.

If the phone is aimed at a more budget-friendly audience then it could be a Snapdragon 775 processor and that is claimed to be a big upgrade compared to last year’s Snapdragon 765.

Some sources also state that there will be another quad-camera system with a 108MP sensor and a QHD+ screen with a 4000mAh battery.

Other News & Opinions

There is a possibility that the brand decides to announce two more phones alongside the Nokia G10 which are speculated to be the X10 & X20.

These phones are aimed at the ultra-budget market with certain features that could punch above its weight class. These two phones will share the Snapdragon 480 chipset.

According to us, this is turning out to be quite a lineup of phones for the coming year. If the brand delivers such a variety then all the popular budget categories can be met with these.

To make the G10 a popular contender there needs to be a few features that should be a must.

These features include a 120Hz screen, a big battery(5000mAh or more), Zeiss optics, OZO sound technology, and an innovative design. It can then serve as a good enough successor to the Nokia 8.3 and Nokia 9 Pureview.

Let’s keep an eye out for more rumours and if we are lucky some official information from the brand themselves.
