Nissa Ariya EV SUV Test Mule Spotted Out In The Wild

The Nissan Ariya EV SUV’s test mule has been spotted in Maharashtra. Thankfully, there was no camouflage covering and the design elements have been confirmed which is identical to the international model. Nissan has not yet shared any word that confirms the official launch timeline of the Ariya EV in the Indian market. But with the ongoing road testing, it can be expected to hit the roads in the coming years.

Just for reference, Nissan had already announced its plan to invest around Rs. 5,300 crores in the Indian market in collaboration with Renault. Furthermore, the brand suggested two new EV models for Indian consumers after 2025. It can’t be said for sure if the Ariya EV is one of those variants that will mark its debut after 2025 in India. The Nissan Ariya EV has already gone officially in the international market back in July 2020. This electric SUV is likely to rival the Hyundai IONIQ 5 and the Kia EV 6 electric crossovers in India and the international markets. Speaking of the powertrain, the Nissan Ariya EV SUV will possibly be launched with dual battery pack options. There could be 63kWh and 87kWh battery modules powering the Ariya EV SUV.

The Nissan Ariya EV SUV with 63kWh battery is expected to offer a peak torque of 300 Nm and 217hp peak power. This variant will offer a range of approximately 402km per charge. On the other hand, the Ariya EV SUV with 87kWh battery pack will offer a peak torque of 300Nm and a peak power of 242hp. This Ariya EV SUV variant will offer a better riding range of up to 513 km per charge.
