Budget Chetak Electric Scooter In Works?

Bajaj is potentially bringing a new electric scooter in India. The spy shots doings rounds online reveals a new Bajaj Chetak electric scooter is getting tested that we expect could debut soon in the country. Wrapped in black and white camouflage, the upcoming Chetak EV seems to sport the similar design approach as the current lineup.
The leaked spy shots of the new Chetak EV model shows round headlamp design which is slightly chunky. The cramped up floorboard is what suggests it to be an affordable model. Alongside, the spy images also shows a bulky rear profile which further indicates the entry-level positioning of this upcoming Chetak e-scooter model.
Additional insights revealed by the leaked test mule images of the Chetak electric scooter shows disc brakes at the front and dual rear shock absorbers, and front apron hook for added practicality. It seems to be sitting on 12-inch wheel profile.

Upcoming Bajaj Chetak Electric Scooter Expected Powertrain

As of now, the powertrain details are under the wraps. However, the upcoming Chetak EV is expected to draw its power from a hub mounted electric motor. This entry-level Chetak electric scooter could offer up to 70 kmph top speed and around 100 km range on a single battery charge cycle.
