Volvo, the Swedish luxury car manufacturer has confirmed its EV expansion plans in India. After the ultra-premium XC90 electric SUV, Volvo is now planning to launch an entry-level EV for the Indian customers. The upcoming model in pipeline from Volvo is the EX30 whose launch timeline has been announced officially.

Volvo EX30 India Launch Details, Expected Pricing

Volvo EX30 India launch is launch is slated for later this year. The entry-level electric car from the Swedish auto manufacturer will be introduced by the end of 2025 at a much lower cost than the recently introduced XC90.

As per the speculations, Volvo will likely introduce the EX30 within a price range of around Rs. 40 lakh. The lower price tag will likely be attributed to the local assembly which Volvo is considering for the EX30. This is further expected to help Volvo strategise its positioning in the country.

Volvo EX30: What Should We Expect?

The Volvo EX30 entry-level EV model could be launched in India with two battery pack options. It could be introduced with a 51 kWh and a 69 kWh battery pack options. The former trim will possibly draw power from a FWD motor pack producing 268 hp power, while the latter is expected to come with a dual-motor setup producing 422 hp peak power. Range offered by the smaller battery pack version will be 344 km, while the bigger battery model will be delivering up to 480 km range per charge.

In terms of features, the Volvo EX30 is said to come equipped with a 12.3-inch vertical infotainment system with touchscreen compatibility and Android Auto, Apple CarPlay support. The cabin will further be loaded with a new 3-spoke steering wheel, wireless phone charging, 360° camera, etc.
