Reliance Jio is on expanding spree as it has launched its 4G services in Spangmik village near Pangong lake in Ladakh. After launching services in the same village, Reliance Jio has become the first telecom operator to offer 4G services.

Notably, Member of Parliament Jamyang Tsering Namgyal has inaugurated Reliance Jio mobile tower in Spangmik village near Pangong Lake. For the unaware, Pangong Lake is a well-known tourist location in Ladakh that attracts tourists a lot.

“Overcoming the challenge of extremely difficult terrain and harsh weather conditions, Team Jio continues with its efforts of reaching the remotest parts of the Union territory to ensure that people remain in touch in the areas, which otherwise remain cut off from the rest of the country for months,” Reliance Jio said.

Reliance Jio 4G Services

The company also states that it has started its services in Urbis, Kanji, and Hanupatta villages in Khalsi Block and Chunglungkha village in Diskit Block. Besides, the telecom operator has footprints in several areas like Zanskar, Kargil, and Demchok. Plus, Reliance Jio is offering JioFiber internet services in Leh town.

Reliance Jio In Kedarnath Trek

It is worth noting that Reliance Jio is also the first telecom operator that is providing services to the Kedarnath trek route. “With a huge number of pilgrims coming this year on Char Dham Yatra, Jio has expanded its network on the Kedarnath trek route to give a superior mobile connectivity experience to devotees,” Reliance Jio said in a statement, as reported by PTI.

Meanwhile, several reports claim that the telecom operator is planning to increase the prices of their tariffs in the coming months. The telecom operators want to increase or boost their average revenue per user by increasing prices of their prepaid plans.
