The 5G network is expected to be available soon in the country as the rollout of the upcoming services is on track. Besides, India is participating in the development of the 6G standards, said Union Minister for Electronics and IT Ashwini Vaishnaw on Tuesday at India Telecom 2022 business expo.

“The country has also developed its own indigenously developed 4G core & radio network. The 5G network is also in its final stages of development. The country is participating today in the development of 6G standards, in the thought process of 6G,” he said.

This development comes soon after Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced that spectrum auctions will be conducted in the coming months.

“Spectrum auctions will be conducted in 2022 to facilitate the roll-out of 5G mobile services within 2022-23 by private telecom providers,” Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman announced while Union Budget 2022-23 speech.

She said that both 5G services and the telecom sector will create job opportunities. “A scheme for design-led manufacturing will be launched to build a strong ecosystem for 5G as part of the production-linked incentive scheme,” FM Sitharaman said.

In addition, the government announced that 13 metro cities will be getting 5G services in 2022. i.e. Jamnagar, Hyderabad, Pune, Lucknow, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Chennai, Gurugram, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Ahmadabad, and Gandhinagar.

K Rajaraman, Chairman DCC & Secretary (T), Department of Telecommunications said, “ 5G is going to play a crucial role in evolving the tech industry, 5G would pave the way for bringing new used cases to life that can lead to a proliferation of FinTech solutions in the Indian as well as in Global markets, 5G equipment are being manufactured in India for the world.”

BSNL has launched dozens of plans in the country. This pack comes after telecom operators increased the prices of their prepaid plans. Notably, BSNL has not increased prices but received attention from customers due to its affordable packs and offers.

In fact, the state-run telecom operator has again announced new benefits and offers with a new pack of Rs. 197. This pack offers data and calling benefits. So, let’s find out the details of the newly launched pack.

BSNL Rs. 197 Plan: Details

The Rs. 197 plan is providing free messages, 2GB of data per day, and unlimited calling for 150 days. However, there is a catch. As users will get benefits of this plan for only the first 18 days from the actual date of the recharge; however, the speed will be decreased to 40Kbps.

In addition, unlimited calling also applies to unlimited calling as users will get a benefit for 18 days only. Notably, the pack is valid for 150 days, but after 18 days users have to go for top-ups, which means this is a long-term plan and it is designed for those who are using data benefits regularly.

Government Infusing Money

Meanwhile, the government announced that it will be infusing Rs. 44, 720 crores into the state-run telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited in the next financial year. “The provision is made for capital infusion for 4G spectrum, technology up-gradation and restructuring in BSNL,” the explanatory note in the document said.

In addition, the government will invest Rs. 7,443.57 crore in BSNL for a voluntary retirement scheme and Rs. 3,550 crores for GST payment. As per documents VRS will be for both BSNL and MTNL. The GST will be offered to the BSNL for clearing GST of the allocation of the 4G Spectrum.

Apart from Amazon offers, Flipkart is providing a similar discount on the iPhone 11. Notably, Flipkart is offering an exchange value of Rs. 18,850, which means users have to pay Rs. 31,000. It is important to note that iPhone 11 is the best-selling device of Apple in India.

Although Reliance Jio is increasing the price of its prepaid plans, it is adding new and affordable plans for JioPhone customers. Yes, you read it right as the company has launched Rs. 152 plan to offer data, calling, and OTT benefits. So, let’s have a look at the benefits of the newly launched packs.

JioPhone Rs. 152 All-In-One Pack: Details

JioPhone plan of Rs. 152 is providing 0.5GB of data per day, unlimited calling, and 300 messages for the entire period. In addition, this pack offers Jio apps access like JioCloud, JioTV, JioCinema, and JioSecurity for 28 days. This pack also comes under the All-In-One segment.

Other JioPhone All-In-One Plans: Details

Apart from the newly launched pack, Reliance Jio offers six other plans in the same segment. These plans are priced at Rs. 75, Rs, 91, Rs. 125, Rs. 186, Rs. 222, and Rs. 899 plans. The first plan of Rs. 75 offers 0.1GB of data along with 200MB of data, 50 messages, free calling, and access to Jio apps for 23 days only.

The Rs. 91 plan offers 0.1GB of data per day along with 200MB of data, free calling, Jio apps access, and 50 messages for 28 days. Then, there is a pack of Rs. 125, where JioPhone users get 0.5GB per day, unlimited calling, Jio apps, and 300 messages per day for only 23 days.

Then, there is a pack of Rs. 186, where users get 1GB of data per day for 28 days. This pack ships unlimited calling, 100 messages per day, and Jio apps access for the same period.

JioPhone All-In-One Expensive Plans: Check Details Here

The two most expensive packs in the same segment will cost you Rs. 222 and Rs. 899. The Rs. 222 pack offers 2GB of data per day, unlimited calling, 100 messages per day for 28 days. In addition, this pack offers Jio apps access for the same period.

There is a also pack of Rs. 899 offers 2GB for 336 days. Besides, users get 50 messages per month (only 28 days) and unlimited calling. Also, users get access to Jio applications.

Jio Platforms today invested that it has invested $15 million in Two Platforms Inc. The Two Platforms is an artificial reality firm that aims to build immersional and interactive experiences. Notably, this platform comes at that time when Reliance Jio is eyeing 5G network, machine learning, and artificial intelligence to provide technology-based solutions to customers.

“Jio Platforms Limited today announced an investment of US$ 15 million in Two Platforms Inc., a Silicon Valley-based deep tech startup founded by Pranav Mistry, for a 25percent equity stake on a fully diluted basis,” said the telecom operator.

The Two Platforms announced that it will work collectively with Jio Platforms so that they can adopt new technologies and build new ones like metaverse, mixed realties, and AI.

We look forward to working together with TWO to help expedite the development of new products in the areas of interactive AI, immersive gaming, and metaverse,” said Akash Ambani, Director, Jio Platforms.
