Reliance Jio is expected to bring its affordable 5G smartphone later this year in India. Notably, the company launched its first 4G smartphone last year and now several reports claim that Jio is likely to launch a 5G smartphone soon that will have a custom Android version.
The JioPhone model is likely to be available in multiple variants along with different screens and specifications. Besides, the device will feature a hole-punch display design and bezels on both sides of the device. The device is expected to design for the masses and will have a modern design.
JioPhone 5G Smartphone Expected Specifications
The JioPhone 5G will run Android 11 (Go edition) will have a 6.5-inch HD+ IPS display with a 20:9 aspect ratio. Also, the JioPhone 5G octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 480 processor is paired with 4GB of RAM. The device will have a dual camera on the back. The JioPhone 5G supports 13MP primary camera along with an autofocus lens and a 2MP macro shooter.
The JioPhone 5G will have 32GB of storage that can be increased via a microSD card. The connectivity options include GPS/ A-GPS/ NavIC, 5G, 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth v5.1,and a USB Type-C port. It will have a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, a 5,000 mAh battery, and 18W fast charging support.
The JioPhone 5G is also expected to run Pragati OS, which is also present in JioPhone Next 4G. Additionally, the OS will have instant translation via Google Lens, Google Assistant, read-aloud text, Google Translate, and Indic language support. Also, the device will be pre-loaded with Jio applications like JioTV, JioSaavn, and My Jio. It is also expected that the device will have a custom Jio launcher.
JioPhone 5G Expected Price In India
According to Android Central report the JioPhone 5G is likely to be priced at Rs. 9,000 to Rs. 12,000. Furthermore, the device is expected to come with easy financing options, which will help buyers to purchase it easily.
