WhatsApp HD Video Update: When Is It Coming?

WhatsApp has started testing the option where users will be allowed to send videos in HD quality. This is similar to the latest feature which allows users to send high-quality images without the resolution getting compressed. Just for reference, the WhatsApp app automatically compresses large-sized media files such as photos and videos so that it doesn’t consume more data or storage.

The WhatsApp HD video-sending option is currently in the testing phase. WABetaInfo has been the first to spot this new media feature being tested with the beta Android version of WhatsApp. Since this feature is currently under development, it could take a while before the stable update is made available to all the masses. Also, the iOS version is expected to receive this update soon.

With this new feature, users will now be able to send WhatsApp videos with up to 608 x 1296 pixels HD resolution. The maximum size of video in this resolution that users will get to send is 12MB. This is much higher than the previous size of 416 x 880 pixels.

How To Send HD Videos Using WhatsApp Android?

Only the users who are currently accessing the WhatsApp Android beta build will be able to send videos in High Definition.

Step 1: Open WhatsApp and click on the attachment tab

Step 2: Click on Gallery to select the video that you want to send in High Definition resolution

Step 3: A new “HD” button will be visible in he drawing editor tab on the top. Tap on it.

Step 4: You will get the option to select between Standard Quality (416 x 880 ) and HD Quality (608 x 1296)

Step 5: Tap on Done.

Samsung is ready to launch a new Galaxy A series smartphone called the Galaxy A25 5G. The next-generation affordable 5G smartphone from the South Korean tech giant is expected to be launched later this year. While the Galaxy A25 5G is still to clear its certifications, Giznext managed to get hands on the 5K renders and a 360-degree video that leaves a little to imagine in terms of design.

The Samsung Galaxy A25 5G leak has been shared with Giznext by tipster Onleaks. According to the 5K renders and the leaked 360-degree video, the upcoming affordable 5G phone will feature a compact design with dimensions roughly measuring 162 x 77.5 x 8.3 mm. The Galaxy A25 5G will flaunt an updated design language. It will have a flat frame complemented with smoothly curved edges.

Upfront, the Galaxy A25 5G will sport a waterdrop-shaped notch. The bezel profile is thin on top and sides, but the chin is comparatively thicker. The leaked render image and 360-degree video also reveal the placement of the volume and power key on the right spine.

The power key will integrate a fingerprint scanner for biometrics. The left panel of the handset will house the SIM card slot. We could see a dedicated 3-way SIM card slot. The 3.5mm headphone jack along with the USB Type-C poo

Moving to the rear panel, the Galaxy A25 5G will sport a triple-lens camera sensor. All three circular sensors will be placed vertically on the top left along with an LED flash. However, there could be additional color variants as well.

Mumbai police have issued an advisory warning to the masses related latest WhatsApp scam with which they can lose not just crucial personal data but also money. The tweet shared reads, “WhatsApp Pink – A Red Alert For Android Users”. The tweet also has some pictures along with the measures that one can take to stay protected from the latest WhatsApp Pink scam.

In this new WhatsApp Pink scam, attackers are sending messages to victims convincing them of a promised update for the WhatsApp Pink app. Users are being lured in with multiple new feature upgrades that the original version doesn’t offer. This is similar to WhatsApp+ which came with multiple different features and customizations that weren’t being offered by the original version.

However, with WhatsApp Pink, it’s all a scam. Instead of offering the set of features as promised, scammers are taking control of a user’s device once they have clicked on the link to upgrade to the fake WhatsApp app. Once the scammers get control of the user’s device they will be easily able to steal private information such as banking information, contacts, and personal data including images and videos.

Starting with the CPU architecture, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 Gen 2 SoC has an octa-core CPU cluster. It is the first-entry-level mobile processor that is fabricated using a 4nm TSMC process. The octa-core CPU has Kyro cores with up to 2.2GHz of clock speed. This new 5G Snapdragon chipset is claimed to offer around 10 percent of improved CPU efficiency compared to the Snapdragon 4 Gen 1 SoC. The OLA electric car is rumored to debut as an electric sedan. For reference, Bhavish Aggarwal, OLA CEO, previously tipped the development of the Electric halo project which primarily is centered on electric car production. The latest leaked image of the OLA electric sedan car shows the 3D model.

The OLA electric sedan car’s fresh leaked images suggest the brand is working with the prototype. The first electric car from will feature a standard sedan shape with a smooth-curved roofline for improved aerodynamics. The design seems to be inspired by premium range electric sedans and SUV crossovers such as BYD Seal and Hyundai Ioniq 6.

If we go by the image, the OLA Electric car will feature a large sunroof. Also the roof panel will be blacked out to complement the large-glass sunroof. OLA apparently is bent on improving the aerodynamics of its first electric car which is further evident with the side vents behind the front wheel arches and steep-arched windscreen at the front as well as the rear.

The Honor Pad X8 tablet has been launched with a 10.1-inch IPS LCD display. The screen supports an FHD resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels and a pixel density of 224 PPI. The front panel of the Pad X8 tablet accommodates a 2MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture for selfies and video calling. The primary camera setup at the rear includes a single 8MP lens with an f/2.2 aperture.

The Honor Pad X8 tablet has been equipped with the MediaTek Helio G80 chipset. The mid-range MediaTek chipset is gaming oriented and has octa-core including dual 2GHz Cortex A75 cores, six Cortex-A55 cores with 1.8GHz clock speed. The Pad X8’s processor has Mali-G52 MC2 GPU for graphics.

The tablet is launched in multiple configurations including 3GB RAM+ 32GB storage and 4GB RAM+ 64GB storage. It also has up to 512GB external microSD card support. The Pad X8 tablet will ship with Android 12 OS and feature Magic UI 6.1 interface.

In terms of connectivity, the Pad X8 tablet has USB Type-C, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz, 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.1, and GPS. The battery capacity packed inside the Honor Pad X8 tablet is a 5,100 mAh battery unit supported by standard charging speeds.

Honor Pad X8 Price In India, Sale

Starting with the base model, the Honor Pad X8 with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage option is launched at Rs. 10,999. The Pad X8’s 4GB RAM variant is announced at an introductory price of Rs. 11,999. The color option introduced is Blue Hour. The latest Honor budget tablet will be sold via Amazon in the country starting today.

WhatsApp Silence Unknown Calls Security Feature: How Does It Work?

The latest security features released by WhatsApp are called Silence Unknown Callers and Privacy Check. With the former WhatsApp has now allowed expanded possibilities for better control over incoming calls; specifically the ones coming from an unknown number. The Silence Unknown caller feature as the name suggests will be muting notification from an incoming call from an unknown number.

WhatsApp has designed this feature to filter out calls that are either from spam or scam callers. The app will automatically silence calls from such numbers so that users can verify if the call is important or spam and respond accordingly. Once this feature is active, the calls from unknown spam numbers won’t show up on the app’s home screen. However, users will be able to see missed/ silenced calls from the unknown number on the call list page. The steps to activate the Silence Unknown Caller feature are below:

In addition to the Unknown Silence call feature, WhatsApp has also introduced the Privacy Checkup feature. This security feature will allow users to check all the security layers under a single tab. This feature is also designed to enhance user privacy and will help them make apt modifications with the added security layers. Users will be able to navigate through multiple privacy layers using the Privacy Checkup feature.
