Google’s premium Pixel smartphone series is getting refreshed soon with the launch of the Pixel 7 series. The vanilla Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 XL’s development have been confirmed by multiple leaks and rumors. Now, the affordable Pixel 7a has also started popping up via leaks. The Pixel 7a is expected to be a compact variant similar to the previous models.

Google Pixel 7a Launching Alongside Pixel 7, Pixel 7 Pro

The Google Pixel 7a has been leaked with the codename Neila. Popular tipster Digital Char Station has leaked the Pixel 7a’s development details. The upcoming phone will be an affordable version of the Pixel 7 and the Pixel 7 XL. Google is expected to introduce the Pixel 7a alongside the remaining two models during the annual I/O event in 2023.

Just for reference, the Google I/O 2023 event is scheduled for October 6, 2023, where the search giant will be taking the wraps off the latest Pixel 7 series including the Pixel 7a. And this time, Google is likely refreshing the design majorly with the Pixel 7a. It will feature a more compact design compared to its older siblings.

According to the tipster, the Pixel 7a will be launched with a 6.1-inch display. The screen size is almost similar to the previous-generation model, i.e, the Pixel 6a. The exact panel type and screen resolution details are yet to be revealed. But we can expect Google to use an OLED panel as the previous models.

Google is also likely to make additional hardware upgrades with the Pixel 7 series models including the Pixel 7a. We will possibly see the second-generation custom Tensor chipset under the hood. The new-generation Tensor processor will possibly bring improved GPU and CPU efficiency for a better overall user experience.

The Pixel 7a hardware details are limited. We only know of the screen size and the firmware version. Google is likely to use the newest Android 13 OS for the Pixel 7a. Similar to all Pixel phones, the Pixel 7 series will also offer a stock Android UI.

Google might also improve the camera hardware with the Pixel 7 series. The latest generation Pixel 7 phones are expected to feature a larger 50MP main camera for photography. Honor is expected to revive its presence in the Indian market with the launch of the Honor Pad 8 tablet. This mid-range tablet was introduced earlier in July in the global markets. Honor has not announced the exact India launch timeline for the Honor Pad 8 tablet.

Xiaomi Redmi Pad Android Tablet Gets Certified Ahead Of Launch

The Xiaomi Redmi Pad has cleared its certification via UAE’s TDRA (Telecommunication and Digital Government Regulatory Authority). The Redmi Pad tablet bears the 22081283G model number as per the TDRA certification website listing. Since the tablet has appeared on other certification portals with the same model number, it is clear the product listing could be authentic and the launch is imminent. The only information confirmed by the TDRA certification website related to the Redmi Pad tablet is the availability of the Wi-Fi variant. Previous leaks suggested the launch of a Wi-Fi+ LTE variant as well. This suggests Xiaomi is bringing both Wi-Fi only and a Wi-Fi+ LTE variant of the Redmi Pad tablet giving the audience a range of options to choose from.

If we go by the previous leaks, the Redmi Pad tablet will be a premium mid-range tablet that will be driven by the MediaTek MT8781 chipset which is an octa-core chipset built on a 6nm fabrication process. Xiaomi could launch this Redmi tablet with up to 4GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. However, the exact details will be confirmed once the device is announced.  It is likely to launch with Android 12 OS topped with a MIUI interface customized for tablets.

The handset is expected to be announced with an LCD screen. That’s a standard panel type smartphone and tablet OEMs are using for affordable and mid-range Android tablets globally. The Redmi Pad tablet’s screen will possibly offer a 2K screen resolution. The exact refresh rate is yet to be confirmed.

The rumor mill hints the Redmi Pad tablet might ship with a single 8MP AI camera at the rear. Xiaomi is rumored to use a 7,800 mAh battery along with 22.5W fast charging technology to keep this tablet’s processor ticking.

Through IDFC FIRST Bank’s WhatsApp banking channel, users can also access over 25 services like savings accounts, credit cards, loans, and FASTag.

The bank has so far distributed nine million FASTags. Thanks to IDFC FIRST Bank, which has a 40 percent market share in the processing of monthly toll values, about 420 toll plazas and 20 parking lots accept payments via FASTag. The Bank is also the biggest parking grabber with a 45 percent market share.
