The Realme tablet was introduced with the standard 4G network support and premium mid-range hardware including the Helio G80 chipset and more. Recently, the Realme Pad mini marked its entry into the Indian market with trimmed-down hardware compared to the standard Realme Pad 4G tablet. But now, Realme is ready to take its first leap in the tablet market with a 5G-backed tablet; or two of them.

Realme Pad 5G Tablet In Works: Two Realme Tablet Models Might Launch Soon

The Realme Pad tablet will now be launched with 5G network connectivity. The upgraded version of the Realme Pad tablet is expected to launch soon as per a new leak. Noted Chinese tipster Digital Chat Station has shared some major clues on the upcoming Realme Pad 5G tablet models. The tipster has also hinted at what all features we can expect from the new-generation Realme tablets that are going official in China sometime soon.

According to the leak by Digital Chat Station, one of the upcoming Realme Pad 5G tablets will be breaking covers with the Realme Pad 5G Master Explorer Edition moniker. This would be the high-end model out of the two upcoming Realme tablets. The basic variant is expected with the same Realme Pad 5G moniker.

Speaking of the specifications, the standard Realme Pad 5G as per the leakster will employ the octa-core Snapdragon 870 5G chipset. This means the upcoming Realme tablet will be competing against the likes of the OPPO Pad and the Xiaomi Pad 5 in India and other markets. Notably, these two OPPO and Xiaomi tablets also use the same premium Qualcomm Snapdragon  870 chipset.

The tipster has not specified the RAM and storage capacity for this variant. However, we can expect up to 8GB RAM and 128Gb storage along with Android 12 OS. The standard Realme Pad 5G is further leaked with an IPS LCD panel that will deliver a 2.5K screen resolution. While the camera specifications have not been revealed, the upcoming 5G Realme tablet will is said to use a massive 8,360 mAh battery unit. Unfortunately, the fast charging capabilities are unspecified.

On the other hand, the Realme Pad 5G Master Explorer Edition will be using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ chipset. This will make it one of the most premium Android tablets in its league. In fact, the Realme Pad 5G Master Explorer Edition could be the first Android tablet to be equipped with the unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ processor.

Just for reference, Qualcomm is likely to announce this new flagship octa-core chipset in the second half of 2022. We can expect the same timeline for the Realme Pad 5G Master Explorer Edition launch as well in the global markets. As of now, that’s the only information available on the upcoming Realme Pad 5G and the Realme Pad 5G Explorer Edition tablets.

Separately, Realme has shared a teaser poster via its official Weibo handle that confirms the upcoming tablet launch in China. It is not clear at this point if the upcoming tablet would be a standard Realme Pad 4G model or any of the newly suggested 5G Realme Pad tablets. Since the Chinese audience is yet to receive the standard Realme Pad 4G tablet yet, chances are the remaining two variants are launched later.
