Huawei MatePad tablet series was refreshed earlier this year with the launch of the MatePad Air 2023 flagship Android tablet. Now, the company is ready to bring its sibling called the MatePad 11.5 (2023) tablet. The latest variant will be launched with slightly trimmed hardware as compared to the top-end MatePad Air (2023) model. The upcoming tablet has been spotted at Geekbench and now its official launch timeline is also confirmed. Here are the details:
Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2023) Official Launch Date: Coming To India?
The Huawei MatePad 11.5 tablet will be launched on July 20. The company is currently launching the mid-range 5G tablet in its home country China. The brand hasn’t shared any details whether it will introduce this tablet in India or other global markets. It has been a while since Huawei has launched any new smartphone or tablet in the Indian market.
Therefore, it’s difficult to assume if the brand will resume operations anytime soon in the country. Nevertheless, Huaweis former sub-brand Honor is making its comeback in India under Madhav Sheth’s reign. It would be interesting to see if Huawei also makes any plans to re-enter the Indian market in the coming years.

The Huawei MatePad 11.5 (2023) is said to be packed with an 11.5-inch display. The display panel on the upcoming mid-range tablet will be an LCD panel that will support a resolution of 1440 x 2200 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display panel will further have an aspect ratio of 3:2 and will be TÜV Rheinland certified for low-blue light emissions.
The Huawei MatePad will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 mobile chipset. The recent listing of this mid-range Honor tablet on Geekbench confirmed this same information. The Huawei MatePad 11.5 tablet will be available with 6GB/ 8GB RAM option and will offer a single 128GB storage option. The tablet will boot on HarmonyOS 3.1 user interface.
Speaking of the camera hardware, the Huawei MatePad 11.5 is said to feature a 13MP rear camera. For selfies, it will be using an 8MP lens upfront which will also double up for video calling. The mid-range tablet will also feature M-Pencil (2nd Generation) stylus pen and quad-speakers for audio delivery. The battery pack tipped for the Huawei MatePad 11.5-inch tablet is a 7,700 mAh which will support up to 22.5W fast charging.
