Instagram Gets A New Look, Tweaked Logo, And More: Here’s All You Need To Know

If you spend a significant amount of time on social media, you may have noticed that Instagram‘s visuals have been updated and revamped. The logo has been slightly changed, new gradient colors and a new font has been added. According to the meta-owned platform, the refresh is intended to support continuing evolution and enable it to deliver more immersive and inclusive experiences. Instagram Rolls Out A New Typeface

The new typeface is called “Instagram Sans”. This was inspired by Instagram’s logo. The social media platform stated that the font was inspired by squares and circles, or “squircles”. For Instagram Global Community, it is a new way to express themselves in places like Reels and stories. Also, numerous global scripts are comprised in the new typeface. Instagram Sans, according to the company, is a modern blend of grotesque and geometric styles. Instagram Sans Regular, Light, Bold, Condensed, Medium, and Condensed Bold are among the new typefaces.

Instagram’s Tweaked Logo Is Here

The gradient in the new logo has been brightened to make it feel “illuminated and alive,” according to the company. Through illumination, the gradient hints at moments of discovery in its logo, marketing, and even in-app as seen in stickers, create mode, and story rings. Instagram notes that the gradient was reinvented using a 3D modeling method. The social media platform also claims that the new full-screen marketing style is meant to be “content-forward” and “celebrate simplicity”.

Instagram Gets Full-Screen Home Feed

Instagram has been exploring a full-screen home feed similar to TikTok. Thus, the launch of the full-screen marketing layouts comes at a good time. The design has an effect on how images appear in the home feed. History suggests that whenever Instagram changes the way the poster appears, it sparks debate. Users may still utilize the bottom navigation bar to access the discovery tab, Reels, purchasing, and your page while testing the full-screen home feed. The icons to create a post, switch accounts, browse messages, and check notifications are still on the top bar.
