Dyson has created its strong niche with household appliances specifically air purifiers, vacuum cleaners, and hand and hair dryers. The Singaporean tech giant has just introduced its most anticipated product, i.e., the new Airwrap. The latest Airwrap comes with an advanced set of technologies that will surely redefine your hair styling. Dyson has made some notable upgrades to the Airwrap over the original version that was introduced back in 2018.

With the new Airwrap, Dyson has made it possible for us to take hair styling to a whole next level. And that’s why I have been all excited when Dyson announced the updated Airwrap for the Indian market. The Dyson Airwrap will cost you Rs. 45,900 in India and you get a whole range of attachments for Rs. 14,900. If you have been planning to upgrade your hair styler this season, you should definitely consider this enhanced Airwrap. And if you aren’t sure whether you should shell out this amount on a new hair styling product, our detailed review should help you decide. Read on to know all the perks of the latest Dyson Airwrap here:

What’s Inside The Box?

New Dyson Airwrap Case
  • Airwrap base wand that everything attaches to
  • Coanda smoothing dryer
  • Newly upgraded barrels (1.2-inch and 1.6-inch Airwrap long barrels)
  • Soft smoothing brush (for fine hair)
  • Firm smoothing brush (for medium-to-coarse hair)
  • Round volumizing brush
  • Filter cleaner
  • User manual

Design

The new Dyson Airwrap comes with several different attachments. Everything about it feels luxurious. With the complete set, all of the core attachments and parts are neatly placed inside a heavy velvet-lined storage case. The box has velvet compartments and trays that serve as a not-so-subtle reminder that this is more than your average curling/straightening iron. No doubt, lifting the lid feels like opening a treasure chest.

New Dyson Airwrap Base Wand

Coming to the new Dyson Airwrap wand, it hasn’t changed majorly from the original one. It is actually the same exact design and same layout but with notable improvements. The one that I got comes in a beautiful nickel and copper finish. The main Airwrap base wand has a power button, fan speed, and heat settings. Attaching and removing these pieces is easy. On the back, it has the clip where you just go ahead and clip on all the attachments. And then there’s the power plug as well. So overall, this looks exactly the same as the previous Airwrap version.

In addition to the handy pre-styling dryer, the upgraded barrels, which is 1.2-inch long and 1.6-inch curling and styling attachments, make switching between clockwise and counterclockwise directions simpler than with the previous styler. With the previous make, you would require to replace the barrel attachment completely.

Then, there are two different versions of the paddle brush dryer inside the box. One is made for thicker, more coarse hair and the other is made for finer thinner hair. Both work really great if you are just trying to blow dry your hair straight.

The round brush is exactly the same as the last version of the AirWrap. It is meant to basically give you that bouncy blowout look. Also, there’s air coming through which is great. I enjoy straightening my roots or using this attachment to soften or even out my bangs.

New Dyson Airwrap: Performance And User Experience

The barrels on the new Dyson Airwrap don’t need to be changed out if you want to curl your hair in a different direction, which is one of the greatest and most significant improvements. This was such a comfort and time saver for me.

The barrels that came with it worked excellent on my long, thick, and straight hair. Those who have thicker or longer hair can choose to buy the longer barrel attachments individually (only if you have the older version of Airwrap). The same goes for short hair: smaller versions of the round and smoothing brushes can produce better results. If you simply want a tighter curl, there is also a longer and skinnier barrel attachment available.

The updated brushes come with a new design that allows airflow through the center of the paddle brush. It easily dried my entire head of hair in about 10-15 minutes which I think is great. Using the product, I can easily obtain a style that appears professional and actually feels and looks healthier. Despite using the higher heat/speed setting, my hair never feels hot to the touch thanks to its several high-tech features like the built-in temperature control.

Basically, the new Dyson Airwrap is super customizable. It is wonderful at straightening and curling both short and long hair, and it works well on both. While frizzy, unruly hair can be easily straightened, smooth, straight hair can be easily curled.

Is New Dyson Airwrap Easy To Use?

To enable the Coanda airflow to do its thing and let your hair attach itself to the barrel, it takes some getting used to it time if you’ve never used the previous model. But once you do, it’s simple. Because my hair is a lot longer, I initially had some difficulties getting my hair wrapped around it but I quickly got used to it.

Verdict: Is New Dyson Airwrap Worth Buying?

New Dyson Airwrap Roller Experience

In short, yes. Vanity is not a sin anymore. Investment in luxury goods is a matter of personal preference, and each person must determine whether it is worthwhile. The new Dyson Airwrap is an impressive multi-functional styler. It gives you the assurance that your hair is not being exposed to excessive heat. It styles hair by sucking in hair strands with powerful airflow. Overall, this new iteration of the Airwrap promises to keep your hair healthy and is a complete one-stop solution for your hair. If you style your own hair regularly at home, the new Dyson Airwrap is definitely worth buying for its many high-end features.
