Poco recently launched the new Poco X3 Pro smartphone in the Indian market. The all-new Poco X3 Pro seems like a true successor to the original Poco F1. If you don’t remember, let me tell you that the Poco F1 was Poco’s first-ever smartphone and it took the market by storm in just no time. Now, in this article, we have shared with you the Pros and Cons of the newly launched Poco X3 Pro. So, let’s have a look at them.

Poco X3 Pro Pros and Cons

PROS

Very Powerful Processor – The new Poco X3 Pro is powered by the Snapdragon 860 processor and this is the biggest highlight of this smartphone. The Snapdragon 860 SoC is coupled with the Adreno 640 GPU and it offers amazing gaming performance. The Poco X3 Pro is a very powerful smartphone and also currently, it is the only smartphone in India with a Snapdragon 8-series chipset under 20,000 rupees.

120 Hz Display with Gorilla Glass 6 – The Poco X3 Pro features a 6.67-inch FHD+ display with Gorilla Glass 6 protection. This IPS LCD panel also features a 120 Hz high refresh rate system along with HDR 10.

Big Battery with Fast Charging – The recently launched Poco X3 Pro packs a massive 5160mAh battery with 33W fast charging support. The X3 Pro offers great battery back-up along with fast charging tech.

Decent Software and Features – The new Poco X3 Pro offers a clean Poco experience, unlike some Xiaomi phones. The Poco launcher 2.0 is based on the MIUI 12 but the good news is that it gets no ads. Also, it has some cool features like an IR sensor, Stereo speakers, hands-free voice assistant and Android v11.

Aggressive Price – The Poco X3 Pro was launched in India at a starting price of just Rs 17,999. But now, its price has been hiked by Rs 1,000 and currently the base 6 GB RAM + 128 GB internal storage variant is priced at Rs 18,999 while the top-end 8 GB RAM + 128 GB internal storage variant is priced at Rs 20,999.

CONS

Average Cameras – The Poco X3 Pro has some great hardware. But, it lacks behind in terms of camera performance. It features a 48 MP + 8 MP + 8 MP + 2 MP quad-camera set-up at the rear and a 20 MP selfie camera at the front. While the selfie shooter is great, the rear cameras offer average performance at best.

No AMOLED Display – The new Poco X3 Pro gets a very good IPS LCD panel with a 120 Hz refresh rate system. However, it doesn’t get an AMOLED display like most of its rivals which is a letdown.

Weight and Thickness – The Poco X3 Pro packs a massive battery and thus, it is quite thick and heavy too. The new Poco X3 Pro weighs 213 grams and the smartphone’s thickness stands at 9.4 mm.

MIUI 12 – The Poco X3 Pro has a clean user interface but the Poco launcher is based on MIUI 12 and so the software optimization isn’t that great. It doesn’t get ads but does get random annoying notifications.

Poco X3 Pro Pros and Cons

No 5G – The new Poco X3 Pro isn’t a future-ready smartphone as it doesn’t support 5G mobile networks. So, if you are planning to purchase a smartphone for more than 3-4 years, it’s better to get a 5G device.
