Tecno has made a wider presence over the last few years in the budget segment with its Spark and Camon series. The former lineup has been recently expanded with two new models called the Spark 8 and the Spark 8 Pro. The former has been relaunched in India with slightly different hardware and configuration. Tecno Spark 8 New Model’s Updated Hardware
The new Tecno Spark 8 variant is equipped with a different processor compared to the model launched back in September. The company has now introduced the MediaTek Helio G25 processor-powered variant. Just for reference, the previous model employs the Helio A25 SoC. The company has also added different Indian language support for the native audience.
The latest Spark 8 variant will be available with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage configuration and will also have external microSD card support. Notably, it also has a 2GB RAM option. However, that’s the Helio A25 SoC-powered variant. The display panel here is an IPD LCD that measures 6.56-inches.
The panel supports a 20:5:9 aspect ratio and a standard 720 x 1612 pixels HD+ resolution. The Dot Notch display further supports 269 PPI pixel density and 480 nits peak brightness levels. In terms of optics, the Tecno Spark 8 sports a dual-lens setup with a 16MP primary sensor that has an f/1.8 aperture and an AI lens. The waterdrop notch upfront features an 8MP sensor for selfies with an f/2.0 aperture.
In the connectivity department, the Spark 8’s new model also features standard 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth v5.0, and GPS. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack and a dated microUSB port for data transfers and charging. The security aspects are taken care of by a physical fingerprint scanner at the back. The device runs on a 5,000 mAh battery aided by standard charging speeds.

The Tecno Spark 8’s Helio G85 variant comes with 4GB RAM and a 64GB storage option. You’ll need to shell out Rs. 10,999 for this model. The handset can be purchased in Arctic Blue, Iris Purple, and Turquoise Cyan colors in the country.
