The new Xiaomi 13 smartphone series has made its official debut. The Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro are the two smartphones in the new series. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset powers these smartphones. Along with an iPhone-inspired look, the new Xiaomi phones carry a revamped camera system. Both Xiaomi 13 and 13 Pro come pre-installed with MIUI 13 which is based on Android 13.
Pre-orders for the two new Xiaomi smartphones are now open in China, and shipments will begin on December 14. The most recent Android smartphones from Xiaomi are covered in detail here.

Xiaomi 13 Specifications
The display of the standard Xiaomi 13 is significantly larger at 6.36 inches and has a faux leather finish on the back. The OLED display has a 120Hz refresh rate and a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels, Dolby Vision, HDR10+, and HLG support. The screen also offers 1,900 nits of peak brightness.

A 50MP primary sensor with OIS, a 10MP telephoto camera sensor with 3x optical zoom, and a 12MP ultra-wide sensor make up its triple Leica-powered triple camera system. On the front, there is a 32MP camera with Full-HD video recording capabilities.
Wi-Fi 6e, 5G, Wi-Fi Direct, an under-display fingerprint sensor, and a 4,500mAh battery with 67W wired and 50W wireless charging are its other features.
Xiaomi 13 Price
The vanilla Xiaomi 13 costs CNY 3,999 (about Rs. 47,300) for the base 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage variant. The top variant with 12GB RAM and 512GB storage is priced at CNY 4,999 (about Rs. 60,000). The middle models include 8GB RAM and 256GB storage and cost CNY 4,299 (roughly Rs. 51,000) and CNY 4,599 (about Rs. 54,400), respectively. The smartphone will be available in Black, Light Green, Light Blue, Gray, White, Red, Yellow, Green, and Blue colors.
Xiaomi 13 Pro Specifications
The Pro model features a better and bigger 6.7-inch LTPO OLED display. It supports Dolby Vision and HDR10. It also has a 120Hz refresh rate. The screen is protected by a Corning Gorilla Glass Victus.

The Xiaomi 13 Pro’s Leica-powered camera system is a significant improvement over that of its sibling. Three 50MP camera sensors are available (wide, ultra-wide, and telephoto). The telephoto camera offers 3.2 optical zoom.
Xiaomi 13 Pro Price
The starting pricing for the base 8GB RAM and 128GB storage version of the Xiaomi 13 Pro is CNY 4,999 (about Rs. 60,000). The 12GB RAM and 512GB storage model cost CNY 6,299 (about Rs. 74,500). Xiaomi may bring the Xiaomi 13 series to India at a relatively affordable price. It comes in white, black, green, and sort of light blue color options.
