Most of the brands are done with new tablet launches in India and are now gearing up to launch the next lot of Android tablets for the masses. Xiaomi has been the top seller in the Android tablet market with its Xiaomi Pad and Redmi Pad tablet lineups. Next year, the Chinese OEM is expected to launch a new variant in both of these lineups. The former will be expanded with the Xiaomi Pad 6 which will be a successor to the popular Xiaomi Pad 5.
The brand will be using an upgraded Snapdragon 870 chipset combined with up to 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration. The Xiaomi Pad 6 will be employing an 11-inch IPS LCD display with 2K resolution and 120Hz (expected). It might ship with a 13MP main camera and an 8,700 mAh battery unit. The expected launch timeline for the Xiaomi Pad 6 in India is 2023.

OnePlus is also rumored to foray into the tablet market in India with the launch of its first Android tablet. Called the OnePlus Pad, the first mobile tablet from OnePlus is speculated to break covers alongside the OnePlus 11 series next year in India. While the exact timeline is yet to be announced, the rumor mill has been proactive in sharing the expected spec sheet.
The OnePlus Pad Android tablet is leaked with a big 12.4-inch display. The brand is said to use an AMOLED panel with an FHD+ screen resolution. The first OnePlus tablet is said to use the octa-core Snapdragon 865 chipset clubbed with 6GB RAM. The camera setup on the OnePlus Pad tablet is likely to feature a 13MP main camera at the rear and a 5MP selfie snapper upfront. A 10,090 mAh battery combined with 45W fast charging will also be present.

Samsung is one of the popular brands for premium range products. The Galaxy Tab S8 FE is coming to India as the company’s next premium mid-range tablet and a successor to the Galaxy Tab S7 FE. Going by the leaks, the Galaxy Tab S8 FE will borrow the LCD screen from the previous model, however, the screen size is not confirmed.
The Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 FE might be launched with the MediaTek Kompino 900T chipset and Android 13 OS. As of now, the camera and other hardware details are not confirmed, but the expected launch timeline tipped is in 2023.
Google Pixel Tablet
Google is also set to join the tablet market with the launch of the Pixel Tablet. The company has already confirmed its first Android tablet at this year’s I/O 2022 annual developer conference. Google is said to equip the Pixel tablet with a 10.95-inch display. However, if it will be an IPS LCD screen or an AMOLED/ OLED panel is unknown.
Google has also announced the Pixel tablet will be integrated with the first-gen Tensor chipset which has been used by the Pixel smartphone series. This tablet is said to be available with up to 256GB storage options. We are yet to receive the complete specifications of the Google Pixel Tablet and will update this segment once the details are available.
