Chinese automaker Baojun has launched a new electric SUV in its home country. Almost identical to the Yep 3-door variant in terms of design and features, this new electric SUV is claimed to offer around 401 km range per charge and 150 kph top speed. Bajoun Yep Plus Design

The Baojun Yep Plus as mentioned above is a 5-seater electric SUV. It is built on the Global Small Electric Vehicle Platform which is also used by the India-bound MG Comet EV. But despite sharing the same platform, Baojun Yep Plus offers a spacious cabin and better road presence. Of course, its an SUV and we can’t overlook that fact. This electric SUV has a 2,560mm long wheelbase,  1,760mm width, and 1,726mm height. ORVMs are mounted on the front door instead of the usual c-pillar mounting.

Baojun Yep Plus Electric SUV Powertrain

Baojun hasn’t specified what battery capacity is used ti drive the Yep Plus 5-door electric SUV. But it is being indicated that it will get a larger battery pack compared to the 3-door Baojun Yep EV. This infomation can be validated with the fact that Yep Plus e-SUV will offer a 431 km range which is higher than the 303 km per charge range offered by the standard Yep.

The Yep Plus 5-door e-SUV will use an electric motor mounted at the rear axle. This motor is said to be of 102hp capacity that will push this electric SUV to up to 150 kph top speed.

Hyundai has packed the Ioniq 5 with a 72.6 kWh liquid-cooled lithium ion battery which can deliver a claimed ARAI-certified range of up to 631 km on one full charge. NHAI ‘One Vehicle, One FASTag’ Guideline: Details

NHAI (National Highway Authority Of India) has released a new guideline that aims to further improve the toll collection system using FASTags. With the new initiative, NHAI will start blocking and blacklisted FASTag accounts with no KYC. The ‘One Vehicle, One FASTag’ guideline as the name suggests mandates usage of a single FASTag for a single vehicle.

There have been reports indicating one FASTag being used for multiple vehicles. Also, multiple accounts are reportedly active without KYC which is mandate as per RBI. NHAI has also confirmed the timeline by which these accounts will be blocked.

Post January 31, 2024, all the active FASTag accounts with balances and incomplete KYC (Know your customer) process will go inactive. Hence, it is advised that users get the KYC done before the accounts get disabled.

Steps To Complete KYC For FASTag

Step 1: Launch any web browser and visit the official website https://fastag.ihmcl.com/

Step 5: Scroll to the KYC section and check the details before completing the registration

After multiple test mule sightings, the Spectre EV’s India launch was consistently being tipped by the rumor mill. It is based on the Architecture of Luxury platform which is the company’s in-house all-aluminum platform for luxury cars. The Spectre EV retains the brand’s legendary “Pantheon grille” but it is now wider and is illuminated by around 22 LEDs.
