With the government enacting new regulations to combat fake reviews and aid consumers in making informed decisions, e-commerce players like Amazon and Flipkart will be required to voluntarily disclose all paid consumer ratings of products and services supplied on their platforms. What Are The New Guidelines?

The government announced new guidelines on November 21 after constituting a committee to look into fraudulent and misleading reviews on June 10 of this year. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) has issued a new standard dubbed “IS 19000:2022” that requires platforms to have review administrators who moderate reviews and filter (manually or with the use of tools) biased or fake reviews. Additionally, it stated that the ratings and publishing date must be included in reviews posted on platforms.

Consumers will no longer be able to edit their reviews after they have been submitted, per the new regulations. Those who want to post reviews must agree to the terms and conditions and give their contact details.

Additionally, a website will be penalized for unfair trading practices if it is shown to have carried fake reviews. Among the websites covered by the new standard are Zomato, Swiggy, Tata Sons, Reliance Retail, Meta, and Amazon.

E-commerce websites routinely request consumer reviews, and many of them actually submit one. Reviews can also contain short videos and photographs in addition to “stars” and text. These reviews not only enhance a company’s or brand’s reputation but also inform consumers about the specifics of the product’s operation.

Before purchasing a product, potential buyers check user reviews to decide whether to purchase the product. Users’ reviews can help prospective purchasers decide whether or not to buy a product before making a purchase. There have been several cases where people created fictitious reviews to promote a certain product. They tricked other customers into purchasing a product that they may not have initially selected or shortlisted.

With the implementation of new guidelines, widespread fake reviews will be eliminated, enabling customers to obtain a more accurate impression of a company or product. The Ultraviolette F77 Electric Bike has been launched in two different variants. There is an Original and a Recon variant. The Ultraviollette F77 Original variant uses a 7.1KWh battery to deliver an IDC range of around 207KM. On the contrary, the F77 Recon Superbike uses a bigger 10.3kWh battery with a claimed range of 307km (higher than the Original variant). The battery packed inside the F77 is compatible with a standard and boost charger support with the latter being optional.

Ultraviolette F17 Original, Recon Variants Power Delivery

The Peak power delivered by the Ultraviollette Original superbike is 27kW and the peak tourque generated is 85 Nm. Power figures are better with the Recon variant. It generates around 29kW peak power and around 95Nm of peak torque. Speaking of the weight, the Ultraviollete F77 electric superbike has a 197kg curb weight, while the F77 Recon is 10km heavier at 207kg.

The Ultraviollete F77 Original version employs dual-channel ABS braking technology and has a 320mm front disc brake. The rear brake is also disc (320mm). USD forks and a swingarm add up to the superbike-inspired mechanical components. Speaking of the riding modes, the F77 electric superbike offers Glide, Combat, and Ballistic modes.

The Nokia T21 budget Android tablet has been announced as the successor to the Nokia T20. Nokia has opted for an aluminum body material that makes the tablet durable for daily usage.

The display panel is the same as the previous-gen model, i.e., an IPS LCD screen. The screen size is 10.36 inches and the resolution support is 1200 x 2000 pixels. This tablet’s display delivers around 400 nits of peak brightness level that will provide average sunlight visibility.

Moving on to the Nokia T21’s camera hardware, there is an 8MP primary camera at the rear with autofocus. The tablet features an 8MP sensor upfront for selfies and video calling.

The Vivo X90 5G series is bringing some upgrades compared to the past generation models. All three models will be flaunting a curved display design along with a large camera sphere island at the back along with the Zeiss logo.

Vivo will be using a 6.78-inch display (AMOLED) on both X90 5G and the X90 Pro 5G. Both these phones’ displays will support a 120Hz refresh rate and feature a punch-hole camera cutout for the selfie camera. The chipset will also be the same, i.e., the Dimensity 9200 chipset.

The camera setup will be slightly different on these two models. This variant will be packed with a QHD+ AMOLED screen that will support a 120Hz refresh rate. The imaging setup on the X90 Pro+ 5G has an upgraded setup comprising a 50MP+ 50MP+ 48MP lens. All three models will feature a 32MP selfie lens and Android 13 OS.
