Vivo Y32 Upcoming Launch Tipped Via TENAA; A New Budget Phone?

Yet another Vivo Y series phone has cleared its certification indicating an upcoming launch. Following the Vivo Y76, the company is now working on the Y32. The device is likely a new affordable phone that will follow the footsteps of the Y33s launched earlier recently. The handset previously got certified via 3C in China and now has made an appearance at TENAA. What can we expect from the next Vivo budget smartphone? Let’s find out:

Vivo Y32 Design Revealed Via TENAA

The alleged Vivo Y32 has stopped by TENAA with the V2158A model number. The certification website has been updated with the images revealing the fascia as well the back panel’s design. Upfront, the handset flaunts a basic waterdrop notch display with a slim side and thick bottom bezels.

The Vivo Y32 can be seen with a big vertical camera module placed at the upper left corner housing three sensors and an LED flash. The Vivo branding is etched at the bottom left. The device seems to have a dual-tone gradient finish (black-bluish). Unfortunately, the TENAA listing doesn’t give insight into the specifications.

However, the handset bears an identical design to the Vivo Y33s. This essentially hints the hardware could also be similar. We might see the Vivo Y32 as a trimmed-down version of the aforementioned model. But, that’s just speculation.

The exact specifications can only be confirmed once the device visits some more certification or mobile benchmark platforms. Just to recap, the handset’s fast charging speeds (18W) have been confirmed by the 3C listing.

When Is Vivo Y32 Launching?

Vivo would likely bring the Y32 initially in the Chinese market. That’s considering the handset has been certified via two major Chinese mobile authentication platforms. Since the handset has made limited sightings online, the launch timeline would be hard to estimate just yet.

Nevertheless, Vivo has been proactive throughout this year with new launches in the ‘Y’ series. Therefore, it shouldn’t come as a surprise if the company brings this handset right before this year-end. It also remains to be seen if the Vivo Y32 comes as an affordable 5G phone or will be a regular 4G phone with entry-level hardware. The possibilities of the latter are higher.

Samsung Might Have Officially Discontinued Flagship Galaxy Note Series; What Is The Reason?

Samsung is one of the noted names in the flagship smartphone segment. The Galaxy Note and the Galaxy S series are what cater to the premium audience across the globe. While the company has launched the newer version of the Galaxy S lineup, no new Galaxy Note series has been introduced for a while. However, rumors are rife this flagship series is being discontinued. But what led Samsung to take this major step? Read on to know:

Is Flagship Samsung Galaxy Note Series Officially Dead?

ET News which is one of the popular South Korean publications has shared a report citing the discontinuation of the premium Samsung Galaxy Note series. The report suggests no more Galaxy Note handsets will see the light of the day this year or the next. It already has been over a year since Samsung launched any Galaxy Note series.

And no new development has surfaced hinting at the successor of the Galaxy Note 20 series. The online reports suggest the company would rather bring the Galaxy S22 series along with the successors of the Galaxy Z Flip 3 and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 in the future (next year likely). Going by the reports and all the latest developments, it seems that the Galaxy Note lineup is indeed officially dead.

Additionally, the report also reveals that the company will be pulling the plugs off from the Galaxy Note 20 lineup. As mentioned above, this was the last model announced in the flagship Note lineup whose production would see the last run by the end of 2021. To recap, the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra is the only other variant besides the standard Note 20.

Why Is Samsung Discontinuing Galaxy Note Lineup?

Samsung has not officially released any statement that confirms why the Galaxy Note series is being discontinued. However, the rumor mill suggests that the declining popularity of this series is one of the prime factors. If we go by the stats, then Samsung was able to sell over 3.2 million units of both Galaxy Note 20 and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra.

Despite the large sales number, users are apparently considering other big-screen phones over the phablets (the concept that helped the Galaxy Note series gain all the fame).
