With Mobile Hotspot

A hotspot is essentially a combination of software, hardware, and back-end network data services that transform a phone into a broadband modem and router. In other words, it can use Wi-Fi to share a web connection to adjacent computers. This not only allows you to connect your laptop and tablet to the internet, but it also enables you to share it with coworkers as long as they are within range and know the password.

For iPads and iPhone

Begin by tapping the Settings icon on the Home screen. Now, go to the area called Personal Hotspot.

Allow others to Join by sliding the slider switch. (If you are still on iOS 12, the slider and say Personal Hotspot.)

The network’s password is at the top of the screen and the instructions are in the middle. It is recommended to update the password for security reasons by tapping the Wi-Fi Password area and entering a new one.

For Android

Swipe down on the Home screen to access the apps and Settings. To enable Mobile Hotspot, go to connections, scroll down to Mobile Hotspot & Tethering and tap on the Mobile Hotspot options.

Your menu language may be different depending on your software and you may need to tap to the More option to find the tethering and hotspot option. Change the network name, password, and Wi-Fi network, by going to the Mobile Hotspot area.

The hotspot will be discovered by devices checking for Wi-Fi networks in the area once you have enabled it, but only people with whom you have shared the password will be able to connect.

To begin, go to your laptop or tablet Wi-Fi settings and search for your new network. After that, type in the password.

It is worth noting that when you are out of range of a network or public hotspot, your phone data can help you get a Wi-Fi connection on your laptop. You can link another phone, tablet, and computer to the internet via mobile data. Furthermore, tethering or using a hotspot is the term for sharing your phone data in this manner. Most smartphones have Wi-Fi or Bluetooth features for sharing data.
