Samsung at its Galaxy Unpacked 2022 event not just introduced the flagship Galaxy S22 series but also the premium Galaxy Tab S8 tablet. The South Korean giant is now gearing up for both these product lineup’s launch in India. The rumor mill has already started sharing insights into the expected pricing and expected timeline of the upcoming Galaxy S22 series and Galaxy Tab S8 in the country.

The latter is currently available for pre-orders in the international markets with the first sale just a few days away. Meanwhile, the box contents of the flagship Galaxy Tab S8 have surfaced suggesting missing power brick. Take a look at the details:

Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Retail Box Won’t Ship With Charging Adapter

The latest flagship Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 series’ retail box content won’t include the power adapter. This information comes via a new tweet shared by The Verge’s Dan Seifert. The premium range tablet series has been announced this month itself and is yet to be made available for purchase across the globe including India.

Samsung had adopted this strategy first with the previous-gen Galaxy S21 smartphone series. It seems the same is being expanded to the company’s tablet segment as well with the Galaxy Tab S8 series. The reports also suggest that Samsung’s official US website listing of the Galaxy Tab S8 series’ “What’s in the box” section confirms the missing charger. The listing only mentions the Sim ejector tool along with S Pen and the main unit.

We can’t say for sure why exactly Samsung decided to exclude the charging brick from the Tab S8’s retail boxes. That could be one of the business strategies to expand its smartphone and tablets accessories. However, an added accessory that costs extra bucks might come to be a bummer for some users. That’s also considering the high-end Apple iPad models still retail with a charging adapter.

But this trend of missing accessories isn’t something new. It’s a rather old concept that seems to be eventually picking up pace in the modern market. Likewise, the earphones (audio accessories) which not most of the brands have stopped shipping with the smartphones, power brick seems to be the next.
