Vivo has been most aggressive with smartphone launches across its affordable “Y” series this year. And the company doesn’t seem to be stopping just yet and is still actively refreshing this lineup with new models. Just recently the brand added the Y74s 5G to this smartphone series.

Now, another model has been announced by the Chinese tech giant which will also be catering to the budget audience looking for a new 5G phone. The device comes as a trimmed-down version of the Vivo Y76s 5G which went official earlier this month in China.

The Vivo Y76 is almost identical to the Y76s 5G with both models bearing the same design. The primary differences are in the hardware department (specifically camera and processor). The Vivo Y76 is equipped with the Dimensity 700 5G processor. Just for reference, the Vivo Y76s 5G also uses a MediaTek Dimensity processor but has the latest variant, i.e, Dimensity 810 SoC.

The Vivo Y76 is also announced with 8GB RAM and 128GB native storage configuration like its older sibling. Like the recent mid-range Vivo models, this variant also features 4GB virtual RAM and external microSD card support. The device has been pre-installed with Android 11 OS which is topped with FunTouch OS instead of the latest OriginOS UI.

The Vivo Y76 employs an IPS LCD display which supports 1080 x 2408 pixels FHD+ resolution and 20:9 aspect ratio. An exclusive report via 91Mobiles reveals the Moto G31’s launch timeline for the Indian market. The device is said to go official later this month. However, no specific date is announced yet. That said, if this information is correct, we will likely see the company start releasing teasers for the upcoming launch. Notably, the report also shares details on the expected pricing. The Moto G31 is said to be announced at around Rs. 15,000 in the country. But this is not the final pricing and we will have to wait for the official launch to know the actual configurations as well as price.

The Moto G31 has already been announced outside India and the spec-sheet would be identified as the international model. The device runs on the octa-core Helio G85 processor which is combined with 4GB RAM and up to 128GB storage. It also has additional microSD card support.

Vivo has been quite consistent with new products across its affordable “Y” smartphone lineup. The Chinese tech giant recently added two new devices to this series called the Y54s and the Y50t. Now, this lineup has been refreshed once again with the Vivo Y74s. The latest model comes with 5G network support and offers highlight features such as the Dimensity 810 SoC and a 50MP main camera.

Vivo Y74s 5G: What Are The Features Offered?

The Vivo Y74s 5G has been launched with an IPS LCD display which measures 6.58-inches and offers a 90.61 percent screen-to-body ratio. The panel comes with an aspect ratio of 20:9 and 1080p FHD+ screen resolution. The refresh rare offered is standard, i.e, 60Hz unlike most of the mid-range 5G smartphones where you get 90Hz/120Hz refresh rate nowadays.

At its core, the Vivo Y74s 5G uses the Dimensity 810 processor which is the latest mid-tier 5G chipset by Qualcomm. The handset will ship with 8GB LPDDr4x RAM and up to 256GB UFS 2.2 storage. Vivo has also equipped this new budget 5G phone with its new virtual RAM feature. You will be able to use up to 4GB extra RAM using this feature.

Coming to the imaging setup, the vertical module at the back houses dual sensors. There is a 50MP main camera which is accompanied by a 2MP secondary sensor for bokeh effects. The camera app will offer some standard shooting modes such as HDR, Panorama, Portrait, slow-motion, and time-lapse video recording.

It will also support 1080p video recording and night scene mode for low-light imaging. To click selfies and for video calling, the Vivo Y54s 5G uses an 8MP camera with an f/2.2 aperture. In terms of connectivity, the Vivo Y54s offers dual SIM, Bluetooth 5.1, and Wi-Fi.

The firmware here is Android 11 OS wrapped around Origin OS. It has a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. Powering the Y74s 5G is a 4,100 mAh battery that is clubbed with 44W fast charging.

The Vivo Y74s 5G is currently announced in the Chinese market at 2,299 Yuan which is approximately Rs. 26,700 as per Indian currency. However, it might start dropping hints on the same soon.

OnePlus is rumored to have skipped the “T” series launch this time and rather launch the OnePlus 10 series instead of the OnePlus 9T. The device is spotted with the OP5154L1 model number which is the same as the BIS (Bureau Of Indian Standards) listing leaked a month back.

It is worth mentioning that while the model number is the same, the device might not launch with the OnePlus 9RT moniker in India. The handset has been listed with the OnePlus RT moniker instead. Unfortunately, the company is yet to confirm if it plans to launch this handset in the country anytime soon.

Also, the brand hasn’t dropped off any hints that it will carry a new moniker. Therefore, it can’t be said for sure if we will see the OnePlus 9RT rebranded as OnePlus RT in India or will get the OnePlus 10 series instead. Nevertheless, the OnePlus 9RT Indian variant’s spec-sheet leaked on Google Play Console is identical to the Chinese model.
