Step 1: To delete WhatsApp chat backup, you will have to perform the steps on Google drive. Open and launch the Google Drive on your handsets.

Step 2: Click on the three horizontal lines icon placed on the top left corner right next to the search tab.

Step 3: Select the “Backups” option.

Step 4: You will see the list of all applications whose backup is toggled on (WhatsApp included).

Step 5: Right next to WhatsApp’s name on the list, you’ll see the three vertical dots option. Tap on it.

Step 6: Select “Turn off backup” if you wish to stop the automatic WhatsApp chat backup.

Step 7: If you want to delete the WhatsApp chat backup permanently, select the second option, i.,e “Delete backup”. That’s it. Your WhatApp chat backup will be deleted permanently.
