Vivo has introduced the V25 series in India comprising the vanilla V25 and the Vivo V25 Pro. These smartphones remain true to the essence of the V-series and provide cutting-edge hardware and a color-changing back panel in V25 Pro. Selfies are another feature that has been a constant improvement in the V Series.
Vivo has made incremental upgrades to its selfie cameras every year, particularly with its V series. The Vivo V25 Pro offers a curved-edge display, an enhanced chipset, and a good camera. At first glance, Vivo appears to have done well enough to support its pricing point.
So, how does the V25 Pro stack up? Is the phone a good purchase? We have been using the phone for a short while and here is what we think about the phone.
What’s Inside The Box?
Vivo V25 Pro handset (main unit)
USB Type C to Type A Charging cable
66W Charging Brick
SIM eject tool
Quick start guide
Warranty card
Phone case
Design
Vivo has done a great job of providing a soft-touch matte finish on the V25 Pro. The handset’s polycarbonate frame has a lustrous, chrome-like finish. Color-changing anti-glare glass, used for the back panel, appears to be effective in preventing fingerprints enhancing the appeal simultaneously. One thing to keep in mind is that only the Sailing Blue finish is capable of changing the color which we are using right now. Additionally, the color-changing feature isn’t as impressive as it was with the V23 Pro from the previous year because it merely shifts from a brighter shade of blue to a darker one under UV radiation.
The Vivo V25 Pro has a curved screen, but even the back is curved, giving the device a slim and sleek design while holding. The phone’s back panel has a rectangular bump for the cameras. It has the three sensors aligned vertically, which is nice. The device looks and feels truly premium.
The volume rocker and power button are located on the right side of the handset, whereas the left panel is kept empty. The speaker grille, USB Type-C charging connector, and SIM card slot are all located on the bottom.
Well, the color option of Sailing Blue that we have is what has us most impressed. With curved edges on the side and decent weight distribution, holding the V25 Pro is a delightful experience in itself.
Display
The 6.56-inch, curved-edge display of the Vivo V23 Pro has thin bezels all around it. These days, curved displays are a feature reserved for mostly high-end smartphones and is yet to become a norm with affordable and budget phones. It is an AMOLED panel with a refresh rate of up to 120Hz and a touch sampling of up to 300Hz. This is an improvement over the 90Hz display found on the V23 Pro and should be used for playing video games.
The AMOLED display has good brightness levels and is risk-free for outdoor use. When compared directly to other products in this price range, color reproduction is also passable but can fall short.
With a 100 percent DCI-P3 wide color gamut, the display is also color accurate. Additionally, there are certifications for HDR 10+, Netflix HDR, and low blue light from SGS.
Processor
The Vivo V25 Pro gets the MediaTek Dimensity 1300 SoC under its hood. Our review unit came with an 8GB / 128GB configuration but the RAM 3.0 tech increased the available RAM by an extra 8GB from the ROM.
The smartphone comes with a ‘Game Boost Mode’ with optimization features. Also, it features a linear vibration motor for haptic feedback. The company has also worked on thermals, with the new Bionic Cooling System, featuring liquid cooling.
Since it has the Dimensity 1300 SoC, our gaming experience was quite decent. Apex Legends ran without any stutters at HD graphics and a High frame rate. It has been smooth and fast to navigate the FunTouch OS while doing a bit of gaming, processing images, and other tasks.
As for software, the phone runs Vivo’s Funtouch OS 12 which is based on Android 12. During our initial usage, we did notice plenty of preinstalled third-party apps. There is a ton of bloatware, some of which can be removed and some of which can be disabled.
Camera
Given that it’s a Vivo V series smartphone, the imaging system is quite advanced. The Vivo V25 Pro sports a triple camera system. It features a 64MP main sensor, an 8MP wide-angle sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor. Meanwhile, the selfie shooter is a 32MP unit. It’s interesting to note that the front camera enables tracking eye autofocus and should be able to provide clear photos and videos of the user.
In daylight, the camera clicks nice, detailed photos. Both the rear and selfie cameras effectively use HDR. We also observed some level of consistency in the color tuning of the ultrawide and primary cameras when clicking photos in the daytime.
In low light situations, the processing algorithm has the tendency to smoothen out photos to reduce noise. However, there are some visible grains, which makes the images appear less sharp. Thanks to OIS, the primary camera takes far better nighttime photos than the ultrawide.
The V25 Pro really shines when it comes to selfies. The 32MP camera front snapper captures a good amount of facial details. The images that we clicked from its front camera were crisp and beautiful.
Coming to the videos, the phone can record optically stabilized videos up to 4K resolution at 60fps. However, stabilized ‘Super Night’ films can only be recorded at 1080p at 30fps, while super stable recordings with hybrid stabilization are limited to 1080p at 60fps. Additionally, you cannot use HDR and Super Night settings at the same time.
Battery
The Vivo V25 Pro packs a 4,830mAh battery. We were able to squeeze out about seven and a half hours worth of screen on time during our usage, and in a real-world scenario, it can last an entire day without charging. It also has good standby time, and it only loses about a percent of its battery overnight when it’s not being used.
The battery can be charged with the bundled 66W FlashCharger. This seems slightly lower than the competition. We would have liked to see 80W charging at this price point.
Final Verdict
With features catered specifically to their requirements, the V25 Pro is a selfie enthusiast’s dream. A whole smartphone experience, on the other hand, revolves around striking the ideal balance between cameras, performance, and battery. While the smartphone leaves a little something to be desired when it comes to performance and battery life, it does scores high on design and selfie capabilities.
Vivo has expanded its V series with the launch of the V25 lineup in India. The next from the company’s lot will be three new Y series phones. Rumors are rife that Vivo will now introduce the Y22, Y22s, and the Y16 in the country. All three upcoming Vivo Y series phones will be launched for affordable audiences in the country. All three phones have started making consistent appearances online in the form of leaks. The latest development is in the form of leaked promotional posters of the Vivo Y22s and the Y16. Here are the details revealed by the poster images:
Vivo Y22s, Vivo Y16 Features Leaked Via Promotional Posters
The Vivo Y22s and the Y16 leaked promotional posters have been leaked by Mysmartprice. The publication has collaborated with tipster Paras Guglani to share the leaked promotional posters of both upcoming Vivo Y series phones. The poster images are in the Vietnamese language suggesting its imminent launch in Vietnam. We’ll speak of the launch details later, let’s first look at the features revealed by the promotional poster.
Starting with the Vivo Y22s, the handset is said to flaunt a new laser pattern design along with flat edges. The Y22s will be packed with the Snapdragon 680 chipset which is an octa-core 4G processor by Qualcomm. The processor will be clubbed with Adreno 610 GPU and will have a maximum clock speed of 2.4 GHz.
The poster also reveals an 8GB RAM capacity. While the storage capacity isn’t confirmed, it could be 128GB. The Vivo Y22s will also have an additional 8GB virtual RAM option. The Vivo Y22s will be packed with a 90Hz display that will have a 2.5D curved glass on top.
The handset will offer a dual camera setup including a 50MP main lens and a 2MP depth sensor. There will be an 8MP camera for selfies and video calls. The Vivo Y22s will be powered by a 5,000 mAh battery along with 18W fast charging support.
The Vivo Y16’s chipset details are not confirmed by the promotional poster. It rather hints at 4GB RAM and 128GB storage. The Y16 will come with a 1GB virtual RAM option. It will also feature a 2.5d curved display and a dual rear camera module housing a 13MP main camera and a 2MP secondary sensor. The device will use the same 5,000 mAh battery setup along with 10W charging. The Vivo Y22s will be available in green and blue shades, while the Y16 will come in black and gold shades.

The Infinix Smart 6 is a budget smartphone with some decent features.
The most notable feature is the large 5,000 mAh battery, which promises up to two days of use on a single charge.
Infinix has become really aggressive these days and launched several smartphones in India. The smartphone company has recently launched the Smart 6 device in the country for Rs. 7,499. Notably, the entry-level device is available on Flipkart and designed for price-conscious customers. We also got a chance to review the product and here is what we think about the device.
Infinix Smart 6 Review: Anti-Bacterial Coating And 6.6-Inch Waterdrop Display
Let’s talk about its design first which comes with an anti-bacterial coating as per company claims, which means the coating will keep the back panel safe from all types of germs, but, it is difficult for me to confirm this. The rear panel is made of plastic, which seems fine at this price point; however, it attracts fingerprint marks easily despite having not so glossy finish. However, the company is giving transparent cover in the box.
Plus, you will find a square-shaped camera module, rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, and Infinix branding at the bottom of the back panel. The right side of the smartphone houses a power button and volume rocker, while a SIM card slot is placed on the left side of the device.
Infinix Smart 6 Smartphone Review
The speaker grille, 3.5mm audio jack, and Type-C port are on the bottom. Overall, the Infinix Smart 6 smartphone seems fine at this price point. It is compact and looks good in the hands.
Moving to the display front, the smartphone has a 6.6-inch waterdrop display, 500 nits of brightness, along with an 89 percent screen-to-body ratio, and HD+ 720p resolution, which gives you a decent experience.
In fact, the screen is quite bright in the proper light conditions; however, it struggles in the sunlight. In addition, you will find the Eye-Care feature in the smartphone that reduces the blue light from your screen and strain on the eyes. The video quality of the OTT platforms is also fine.
Infinix Smart 6 Review: MediaTek Helio A22 Processor And Android 11 Go Edition
The smartphone is equipped with a MediaTek Helio A22 processor that is paired with 2GB of RAM, 2GB of virtual RAM, and 64GB of in-house storage. You will find the same processor in the Xiaomi Redmi 6A and the Tecno Spark 6 Air.
Even though the company has used an outdated processor we have not faced any lags while watching content on OTT platforms and playing light games. In fact, the fingerprint scanner seems fine and there were no issues while performing multi-tasking.
Infinix Smart 6 Smartphone Review
The Infinix Smart 6 runs Android 11 OS Go Edition; however, its user interface is flooded with third-party apps, which can be removed if not in use.
In addition, you will find some features like Video Recording, Theft Alert, Kids Mode, Social Turbo, Smart Panel, and more. It is important to note that the fingerprint sensor seems decent; however, we found that the face unlocks feature is a bit slow.
On the optics front, the Infinix Smart 6 comes with 8MP primary camera along with a /2.0 aperture and an 0.8 secondary camera. In addition, you will find some features like Auto Scene detection. You will also find modes like Beauty, Portrait, AI HDR, and more.
The dual camera in the pack provides decent images in the proper lighting conditions. In fact, the color reproduction is also good, but images taken in the low light condition are poor. The 5MP front camera also manages to take good images in good lighting conditions.
Infinix Smart 6 Review: Battery And Connectivity
Infinix Smart 6 Smartphone Review
The Infinix Smart 6 gets power from a 5000mAh battery along with 10W charging technology and takes more than two hours to charge the smartphone. However, the battery can last for two days and this can be a good choice if you are looking for a smartphone that can last for 48 hours.
Moving to the connectivity, the Infinix Smart 6 smartphone has FM radio, 802.11 b/g/n, Micro-USB, and 4G on the SIM cards. Plus, you will find sensors like fingerprint sensor, ambient light sensor, and proximity sensor.
The Infinix Smart 6 smartphone is designed for those who are looking for a big battery and decent display experience under Rs. 7,500. However, if you are looking for good-looking, big battery, and RAM options, then there are other options available in the market.
Tecno Camon 19’s design is one of its strong suits as it has a sleek build that feels good in the hand
Features a 6.53-inch HD+ display with a dewdrop notch
It comes with a 3,750mAh battery with reverse charging
PROS
CONS
Good Camera
No AMOLED display
Good battery life
18W Power Adapter
Large storage capacity
60Hz low refresh rate
Lately, Tecno has been dominating the competition in the mid-range market. With an emphasis on selfie cameras and large screens, the Shenzhen-based phone maker established a recognizable brand over time by releasing affordable smartphones. The Camon 19, the latest smartphone by the brand, follows the same path. In India, the phone is available for Rs. 14,999. Also Read | Tecno Camon 19 Pro Mondrian Edition Full Review: Unique Color Changing Design, Powerful Cameras Steal The Show
Since we have been testing the product for the past week, it is difficult to find many faults at this pricing point. The Camon series places a lot of attention on the camera, but there has also been a definite advance in design, battery life, and display. Let’s get to know if the phone justifies its price tag or not:
What’s Inside The Box?
Tecno Camon 19 handset (main unit)
18W Power adapter
USB Type-C cable

User guide
Design
The Tecno Camon 19 has a beautiful design. It has a boxy shape with a matte-like finish with a twin camera setup at the back. The device has a solid body and is made of polycarbonate. The phone is comfortable to carry in the hand despite having a huge display. Most likely because it isn’t overly tall and wide – just the correct size for operating it single-handedly.
The Camon 19 is available in Eco Black, Sea Salt White, and Digital Green color options. The Sea Salt White variant is what we’re using. A combination of thin frames and a small camera cutout in the top center of the screen – is a classic design choice for the market.
On the right, there is the volume rocker and a side-mounted fingerprint scanner which also doubles as the power button. It seems like the new trend in rear-mounted is side mounting. It is there on every smartphone manufactured today. The fingerprint reader is significantly simpler to use and, during our time there, always worked quickly and accurately.
The dual nano-SIM card tray sits on the left while you have the USB C charging port, headphone jack, speaker grill, and dual microphones at the top and bottom. The stereo effect produced by the phones using the earpiece and a downward-firing speaker is suitable for casual listening.
Coming to the back, the circular holes with cameras are present in the upper left corner and the flash is situated between them, somewhat to the right of the center. It’s wonderful that they don’t detract from the aesthetic because you can only see the vertical glossy inscription TECNO CAMON in the lower left corner. Overall, we found the design of the Tecno Camon 19 quite impressive.
The Tecno Camon 19 sports a large 6.8-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution. The aspect ratio is 20.5:9, which is a little out of the ordinary, and the pixel density is roughly 395 PPI. At the same time, the refresh rate is typically 60Hz. The screen is also certified by TÜV Rheinland, which indicates that it emits less blue light, which is good for the user’s eyes.
Even while the smartphone’s display doesn’t have any distinct features, such as a fast refresh rate, it still has a decent display. The display has rich colors and adequate contrast, especially for an IPS panel. Those who appreciate vivid colors will be catered to by the screen.
Although the maximum brightness cannot be described as outstanding, it is sufficient to use the smartphone on a bright day outside. In most cases, it will be sufficient, however, it could be higher. Normal viewing angles result in slightly warmer colors with linear deviations and slightly less contrast for dark tones, which is typical for IPS, with diagonal deviations.
The screen provided a large canvas for multimedia content consumption, including playing games, browsing websites, and watching movies. The Tecno Camon 19 certainly looked the part of a high-end smartphone and was a pleasure to use.
Processor
The Tecno Camon 19 is a decent performer. Under the hood, the phone comes equipped with MediaTek’s Helio G85 processor and Mali-G52 GPU paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. You also get up to 3GB of virtual RAM with MemFusion tech.
We achieve the usual average level of performance in tandem with the Mali-G52 MC2 video accelerator. The Tecno Camon 19 in 6GB / 128 GB configuration performs decently in everyday use. The smartphone responds to all user demands quickly and apps launch swiftly.
You get HiOS 8.6.0 and Android 12 on the phone. HiOS 8.6.0 carries on the Tecno brand’s ethereal, fluid, and smart brand aesthetics with new features and an improved user interface.
In everyday use, the device is smooth and runs decently. For common apps and games, the performance is more than adequate. It chugged along just fine without any hiccups; you just need to crank down the graphic settings while playing demanding games. Besides, the bloatware is pointless and you can easily disable or uninstall most of the apps.
Tecno always does its best to bring a phone with good cameras. The Camon 19 has three rear cameras: a wide-angle module, a bokeh depth sensor, and an AI module. The phone comes equipped with dual 64MP primary rear cameras.
Photos in standard resolution seem nicer on a clear, sunny day because of enhanced clarity and detail. The scenario will be different in a room with poor lighting, though. The images are crisp and have a nearly identical amount of digital noise at full resolution. Under any ambient conditions, there is essentially no difference in how the two modes depict colors.
With the right level of lighting, the phone is capable of taking good quality pictures with correct colors and a normal level of detail. In complex scenes, Auto HDR works and extracts more information from different areas, but it’s hit and miss. In some cases, this makes the image look unnatural.
If there is a need for shooting at night, then you can turn the night mode on. It will also cope better with light and add more details.
Coming to the selfie camera, the device has a 16MP sensor on the front. The color rendition is normal and natural. Besides, video is recorded at a maximum resolution of 2K at 30fps. On the other side, there is no jelly effect during swift movements.
Apart from the usual modes such as beauty, Portrait, and super night – you also get a new fun AR Shot that lets you create memoji and animoji characters and share them with friends.
Battery
The Tecno Camon 19 has a 5,000mAh battery which is quite normal by today’s standards. Considering the general specifications, you can have at least one day of active usage here. However, it can last a day and a half to two days on a single charge in gentler usage modes. As always, it all depends on the specific application scenario.
The smartphone comes with an 18W power adapter that supports fast charging. However, in practice, the loading speeds are unimpressive, to say the least. According to our measurements, charging from 20 percent to 100 percent took over two hours. Not so fast charging, we would even say slow, by modern standards.
The Tecno Camon 19 is a mid-range smartphone with a stylish and elegant design. In addition to its unique appearance, it has a good IPS display, decent performance for daily use, a lot of memory, a good camera, and huge battery life.
However, there are a few areas where the maker of this smartphone could make improvements. Like the charging can be done more quickly because many manufacturers are currently focusing on 25W and stronger chargers, although the 18W we have here is not that quick. Overall, you will be receiving a lot of value for your money.
iQOO in a short span created its own fanbase of gaming smartphone users. Thanks to the company’s high-end gaming Android phones that hardly burn a hole in the pockets and deliver a premium gameplay experience. Amongst the brands, the popular gaming smartphone series is the Neo which debuted in the country with the launch of the Neo 6.
The iQOO Neo 6 is a value flagship that competes with some of the noted premium mid-tier phones under the Rs. 30,000 price mark. The device comes with a starting price of Rs. 29,999 for which you get the 8GB RAM and 128GB storage option.
You can also opt for the 12GB RAM+ 256GB storage option that’ll cost you Rs. 33,999. The iQOO Neo 6 has some solid hardware under its hood including the Snapdragon 870 octa-core chipset, a 120Hz AMOLED screen, and 80W fast charging. But is just the on-sheet specs good or the overall user experience with the iQOO Neo 6? We have shared our feedback in this long-term user review:
iQOO Neo 6 Review: Design And Display Experience
The iQOO Neo 6 wears the signature design as the other iQOO models introduced in recent times. The device flaunts a shimmering back panel with a large square camera island painted in black and mirror tones. The polycarbonate body material gives it a sturdy feel while maintaining appealing aesthetics.
The iQOO Neo 6 has curved edges that help with a comfortable hold despite the large form factor. You won’t find the phone bulky despite the large screen size. However, single-hand operations become a tad difficult; specifically, if it’s not the basic usage such as browsing or answering/making calls and texts.
The iQOO Neo 6 comes in Dark Nova and Cyber Rage color options. We have received the latter. This color variant reflects rainbow shades when exposed to light. This is a funky-looking variant as opposed to the subtle-looking Dark Nova shade. You can select either color option depending on your preferences.
iQOO has always been a step ahead in the display game with its affordable and mid-range phones. And since the iQOO Neo 6 comes as a value flagship, it makes sure you don’t get disappointed with the panel quality. It is equipped with a 6.62-inch display. iQOO has opted for a Samsung E4 AMOLED screen which is super responsive and offers a vivid output throughout.
The panel on the Neo 6 supports a 1080 x 2400 pixels FHD+ screen resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. You will get a fluid response scrolling through the screen on this phone. You can easily toggle between 60 and 120Hz refresh rates from the display settings. Bot just the high-frequency response, the iQOO Neo 6’s display is also good with color production and rendering deeper blacks.
The large screen size along with the high-res visuals delivers the perfect binge-watching experience of your favorite shows and movies. Besides, the smooth feedback with the touch enhances the gaming experience. The iQOO Neo 6’s panel offers 800 nits peak brightness which makes its sufficiently bright under direct sunlight. You won’t really have to struggle reading your phone’s screen under direct sunlight.
Hardware And UI
The iQOO Neo 6 brings the octa-core Snapdragon 870 chipset to the table. Now, iQOO has been integrating the new-generation Qualcomm chipsets to power most of its gaming smartphones. This strategy is somehow working in the brand’s favor. While the company could have used the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 series chipset or the Snapdragon 888, it rather selected the Snapdragon 870 which is also a premium range chipset. This has allowed the brand to keep the handset’s cost on the lower end of the spectrum without compromising its efficiency anyhow.
The Neo 6 has been blazing fast with all the tasks thrown at it. It can easily handle the heaviest or most extensive apps without any lags or hiccups. Performance is the Neo 6’s forte. You can play games throughout the day and yet not feel the temperatures getting unstable.
Thermal management is also good with the Neo 6. You’ll experience minimal warm-up issues too when the device is plugged into the charger and is being used simultaneously. With 8GB/12GB RAM, you can be assured of a swift multitasking experience. The handset also has a virtual RAM option that supplements additional RAM for better feedback with multitasking.
You’ll get the best user experience with gaming. And if you are one of those avid or pro gamers, you should definitely consider the Neo 6. We have played multiple high-intensity games and with titles such as Shadow Fight IV and Asphalt 9, we loved every bit of the action on the screen. All thanks to the improved haptic feedback with the X-axis linear motor.
The iQOO Neo 6 has an onboard storage capacity of up to 256GB. Keep in mind it comes with a hybrid SIM slot, so, you won’t get to use two SIM cards and a microSD card simultaneously. Going for the high-end model if your budget allows would be the wise move.
iQOO has installed the Android 12 OS in the Neo 6 and has topped it with the custom FunTouch OS 12 user interface. Now, we are glad that the brand ships this device with the latest Android version. However, the pre-installed bloatware with the FunTouch OS is a drawback in our opinion. It makes the UI cluttered which is the only reason we aren’t a big fan of it.
Camera User Experience
While iQOO has set its standards high with gaming, it manages to give a good imaging experience with all of its smartphones. The Neo 6’s 64MP triple rear camera module and the 16MP selfie snapper don’t disappoint here. The rear camera island houses a 64MP primary lens. This is a Samsung GW1P sensor that doubles up as a wide-angle lens and is combined with an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro sensor.
The iQOO Neo 6 is good with daylight photography which is the case with most of the premium range phones. But it also manages to maintain the detailing levels with the captured shots with slightly low light backgrounds. The cameras offer a high dynamic range with the well-lit backgrounds
. The color production is also decent with the images not looking dull or oversaturated when clicked with any mode. Speaking of which, there are multiple shooting modes that you can use for different effects. The video recording is also good with the main camera.
You get to record 4K videos at 60fps. The Neo 6’s back cameras also capture well-defined images during the night. The output is less grainy or hazy if you switch on the dedicated Night mode from the camera app. The selfie camera performance is also good on the iQOO Neo 6. The 16MP selfie snapper captures ample details making your self-portraits crisp and vivid.
Battery And Fast Charging
The iQOO Neo 6 has a 4,700 mAh battery completing its hardware package. The handset is easily able to last close to an entire day on a single charge. Consider moderate to light usage if you want this backup. You will need to connect a charger towards the end of the day if you have been using it extensively. It comes with 80W fast charging support which is super quick with battery refuels. It takes around half an hour for a full recharge which comes in handy if you use your smartphone throughout the day and the battery gets discharged frequently.
iQOO Neo 6: Final Verdict
The iQOO Neo 6 with an asking price of Rs. 29,999 makes for one great deal in its league. It is one of the few Android phones which makes for a complete package with its premium-grade hardware and pocket-friendly pricing. If you wish for a phone that can easily crush intensive games and yet doesn’t compromise on the multimedia or photography experience, the Neo 6 makes for a good fit.
