A fresh report via WABetaInfo has confirmed this development across the upcoming messaging feature for WhatsApp Web version. The publication has also shared a screenshot that shows the Chat search by date feature being tested with the WhatsApp Web version.

The screenshot confirms the placement of the calendar icon next (on the left) to the chat search tab. Just for reference, Meta already has released the chat search by date feature for Android and iOS users and the functionality for the web version will be identical to the mobile app.

Speaking of the availability, it is unknown by when WhatsApp will rollout this update to all the WhatsApp Web users. Currently, this feature is in the development phase and will be made available to the Windows and Mac users in the coming months.
